Angelica Rivera

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in both education and medical social work. I received my Bachelors of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology at Texas A&M College Station and my Masters of Social Work at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a concentration in Direct Practice with Latino Ind/Fam/Gr.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent years teaching, which strengthened my ability to connect with individuals across different developmental stages and meet people where they are.

I also have years of experience as a medical social worker in the NICU and Cardiac ICU at a Childrens Hospital, supporting patients and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. My clinical experience includes working with grief and loss, postpartum adjustment, chronic illness, family stress, and major life transitions including adjustments to college.
