Dr. Jodie Benabe
It can be exhausting when you can’t get out of your own head. You might be overthinking everything, worrying constantly, getting caught in intrusive or obsessive thoughts, struggling to get things done, or putting enormous pressure on yourself. Depression can make it hard to care about things you normally care about. Food and body concerns can take up way too much mental space. A relationship or breakup can throw everything off. And sometimes things that happened a long time ago are still affecting you more than you want them to.
I’m a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of experience, with advanced training as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist–Consultant (CEDS-C) and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP-II).
I’m active and engaged in therapy. I’ll ask questions, share what I’m noticing, and help you make sense of what’s happening rather than expecting you to come in every week knowing exactly what to talk about. We’ll look at what’s keeping you stuck, work on things you can actually use outside of therapy, and make room for the harder stuff when it matters.
You don’t need to have a diagnosis, be in crisis, or know exactly what you need. You can come in and tell me what’s been going on, and we’ll start there.
My office is in Boulder, and I offer in-person therapy as well as telehealth throughout Colorado. I offer a free consultation so you can tell me a little about what you’re looking for, ask questions, and see if talking with me feels comfortable.
