Marilyn Smith
Hi, I'm Marilyn. Reaching out for help is often intimidating, especially if you're unsure where to begin. Everyone’s process in therapy will look different, and I’m eager to work with you to discover what that will be. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is most important in this process, and I understand the need to find a good fit. Whether it’s depression, anxiety, stress related to classes, significant life transitions, relationship issues, etc., I will walk with you along your path to healing. Therapy can be a tool to increase self-compassion, understand our emotions, improve relationships, and offer healing. I work with individuals and couples.
We all have narratives that guide our lives. Sometimes we get stuck in a narrative that is no longer effective, or we have a difficult time making sense of our experiences. Talking with someone from an objective point of view can help you make sense of your experiences and find meaning in them. I am also a trauma-informed clinician and trained in EMDR.
