Accepting clients Last Updated 6 days ago

Melanie has a client centered approach to therapy and aims to meet each client where they are at, honoring their innate resiliency and collaborating to create individualized treatment plans. She knows that each client navigates a variety of oppressive systems and needs space to bring their specific perspectives and identities into the therapeutic relationship. Melanie draws upon theoretical frameworks such as CBT, DBT, ACT, mindfulness, and parts work. She works with individuals facing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, questions around identity, creative block, and relationship issues.
Melanie received her Masters in Painting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2015 and spent many years working in creative industries and academic environments. With a background in visual arts, music, and theater, Melanie welcomes clients for whom creativity is central to their personal and spiritual identity.
