Sarah Parks-Pittman LMSW, CHT
We are living in tender times. Many of us are undergoing internal shifts and personal transformations while the world at large is also shifting beneath our feet. Working together, we can find ways to cope creatively with life's many challenges. My work is inspired by each individual client’s unique potential for wholeness. I enjoy working with individuals on issues of gender, sexuality, relationships, intimacy, spirituality, wellness and authenticity. I am LGBTQIA+ friendly & aware. My other areas of competence include anxiety, depression, grief, and adjustment to life transitions.
My counseling practice is informed by Hakomi and its principles of mindfulness, unity, body-mind connection, non-violence and organicity. Learning to accept what is and be in the present moment is more important than ever. My counseling approach includes person-centered, humanistic, strengths-based, trauma informed, depth psychology and cognitive behavioral.
One of life’s great challenges is that we all encounter suffering and struggles along the way. And yet, I strongly believe that it is not only possible, but that it is every person’s birthright, to live a life full of meaning, joy and fulfillment. I look forward to working with you and supporting you on your personal journey of unfolding and healing.
