Tara Devineni
Many clients I work with are navigating a significant loss or transition, struggling in their relationships, experiencing family conflict, or feeling caught between who they are and who others expect them to be. Therapy offers an opportunity to slow down, understand the patterns that shape us, and develop deeper relationships with ourselves and others.
I provide a warm, thoughtful, and nonjudgmental space where difficult emotions and experiences can be safely processed and explored. Together, we can build new coping skills and cultivate greater awareness, self-compassion, and agency in your life.
Grief and loss are a core focus of my practice, including grief related to immigration, estrangement from culture or family, boundary setting, and life transitions. My work with clients who have lost loved ones, are caregivers, or live with chronic or terminal illness has deepened my skills in supporting people through their own unique experience of grief.
I offer virtual therapy to clients living in DC, NY, PA, and VA as well as in person therapy at my office in Washington DC. I am committed to providing compassionate, culturally responsive therapy to adults across the lifespan. I know that finding the right therapist and starting therapy can feel overwhelming, and I am here to guide you through the process whenever you are ready. I look forward to hearing from you.
