I work with people who believe that relationships (with others, ourselves, and our environments) are what make life meaningful. If you’re struggling to feel consistent or fulfilled, I can provide support while we work to identify and address the contributing issues. I have a special interest in self-esteem related to ADHD and learning disabilities but work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families around a variety of issues. I can help you explore how past experiences impact current patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behavior. Together, we’ll work to help you facilitate meaningful changes based on these insights and increase your sense of mastery and control over your reality. My style utilizes both contemplative and evidence-based (DBT, ACT) modalities of therapy.
Flatirons Recovery provides compassionate, mindfulness-based addiction treatment services. Our treatment team focuses on healing the whole individual, instead of focusing on one specific area of a person’s life that may be problematic. We do this by working with clients to develop action plans for relapse prevention, beginning to heal trauma, learning skills for more successful coping with mental health challenges, eating healthier, getting more consistent exercise, and having fun in recovery.
Hi! I’m Marissa, a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in school counseling. I hold a Master's degree in Counseling, and I focus on learning ways in which people are best able to process traumas, build self-compassion, and practice coping skills for individuals to strengthen their abilities to handle everyday life, and its curveballs. I work with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, trauma, overthinking, and relationship challenges. My approach is grounded, genuine, and centered around creating a space that actually feels human. I want clients to feel like they can come in exactly as they are — messy thoughts, uncertainty, humor, emotions and all — without feeling judged or pressured to “have it together.” I care deeply about building real, trusting connections and meeting people where they’re at, while helping them grow, heal, and feel more confident and at peace in their lives. Together we’ll explore your current challenges, goals, strengths, and what kind of support may feel most helpful for you. There is no pressure to have everything figured out or share everything right away. My goal is for you to leave feeling comfortable, understood, and hopeful about the process moving forward.
Hi! I’m Jeanette. I’m a licensed professional counselor in Colorado with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. Before starting my private practice in 2018 I worked in several different inpatient as well as outpatient settings including inpatient psychiatric units and emergency rooms. I have worked with all ages but I currently focus on working with teens, college students, and younger adults up to age 45 or so. I practice mainly from person-centered standpoints which emphasizes everyone’s innate ability to change and grow. I have worked extensively with survivors of trauma, and am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I am very passionate about physical activity and the importance of integrating it into everyone’s daily routine. I also emphasize the role of nutrition for mental wellness and am currently receiving additional training in this area. Our brains are a part of our body and any mental health treatment should include significant time to ensure that you are also in good physical health. On the personal side, I am married and have three great kids ranging in age from preschool to high school. Whenever I get a chance, I’m out walking my dogs, Skips and Teegan. I’ve lived in Arvada for the past 15 years and, while I’m not a native, I definitely consider Colorado home.
College can be exciting—but also overwhelming. If you’re feeling anxious, burnt out, unmotivated, or unsure of how to manage everything on your plate, you’re not alone. I specialize in working with college students navigating the stress of academics, relationships, identity, and big life transitions. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, ADHD, depression, or past trauma, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can explore what’s going on, learn practical tools to feel more in control, and start to feel like yourself again. My approach is warm, collaborative, and real—I meet you where you are and work with you to set goals that actually make sense for your life. Together, we’ll find strategies that fit you, whether that’s therapy, medication support, or both. You don’t have to figure it all out on your own. Reach out if you’re ready to get started.

Meaning-Making & Life Transitions | Anxiety, Grief, and Healing There are times in life when the questions feel too big: Why does everything feel so disconnected from what I imagined? How do I keep moving forward when I’m not sure where to go? If you’ve built a life that looks good on the outside but feels off on the inside, you’re not alone. Maybe you’ve spent years pushing forward, staying busy, and doing what’s expected—only to find yourself feeling restless, anxious, or disconnected from what once drove you. Or maybe something big has shifted—grief, a transition, an unexpected change—and suddenly, the certainty you once relied on isn’t there anymore. I understand this because I’ve lived it. Losing both of my parents during some of the most formative years of my life left me grappling with a depth of grief and confusion I wasn’t prepared for. In my late teens and early adulthood, I had to figure out how to keep going while everything around me was shifting. It was a messy, painful journey that took me to the darkest corners of myself, forcing me to confront emotions I hadn’t even realized I was carrying. And through it, I eventually learned that healing doesn’t come from pushing through or pretending to be okay. It comes from creating space for what’s real—sitting with it, learning from it, and finding a way forward, even when it feels impossible. My approach is grounded in the belief that healing isn’t about fixing what’s “broken,” but about understanding yourself in new ways. It’s about reconnecting with who you truly are, even when life has pulled you off course. In my practice, I offer a space for you to process what’s beneath the surface—without pressure, without judgment. Whether you’re navigating grief, dealing with anxiety, or facing a life transition that’s left you questioning everything, therapy can help you make sense of it. Healing with me isn’t about quick fixes; it’s about deep exploration, vulnerability, and learning how to reconnect with yourself and what truly matters to you. If any of this resonates, I’m here to walk with you through it—helping you rediscover clarity, confidence, and the courage to move forward in a way that feels right for you. Gabrielle Samo, MA, LPCC, earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Regis University and understands that navigating life’s challenges can feel overwhelming. Her approach combines practical tools to help make sense of things (because sometimes we need a map) with the space to sit with what’s hard (because not everything can—or should—be fixed right away). Her work is informed by experience supporting individuals with chronic and terminal illnesses, as well as years of hospice volunteer work. Gabrielle Samo is supervised by Michelle Fagan, LPC #0016337.
Hi, I’m Annette Godbout, LCSW. I’m a licensed therapist with nearly 6 years of experience supporting individuals of all ages and from all walks of life. I truly believe that everyone possesses the tools within for self-healing and recovery, and I would be honored to walk beside you on your journey. I believe the first step in healing is being given a safe and nonjudgmental space to truly be seen and heard. I give every client a space of warmth, empathy, acceptance, and support. My approach draws from evidence based modalities including EMDR, CBT, and DBT. My unique skillset positions me to help you find your happiest and healthiest self that already exists within. My years working with children in behavioral health, transitioning to teens with complex trauma, and spending the last years working with adults of all ages gives me a robust repertoire to pull from for clients of all ages. Ultimately, everyone is different and there is certainly no “one size fits all” path to healing. I would be thrilled to help you find your path. I specialize in life transitions, emotional regulation, trauma processing and recovery, anxiety, depression, grief work, and overall stress management for the overwhelm that daily life can bring. I bring a client focused approach to my practice helping clients build insight and emotional resilience to evoke long lasting and meaningful change. I’m glad that you are here. College can be a scary, stressful time for anyone, especially people who are struggling with complex feelings and situations outside of school. If you are someone who is trying to process a complex family dynamic, trying to cope with feelings of anxiety or depression, juggling your responsibilities with the demands of a chronic illness, or trying to process any form of grief or loss, I may be able to help! I utilize motivational interviewing and a strengths-based, person-centered approach with all of my clients, and further tailor the treatment plan to best fit your unique goals. By working together we can identify your strengths and I can provide you with tools to best use them. I am a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) working under the supervision of Haley Lafferty, LCSW. I am LGBTQ+ identifying and affirming, and offer both individual and couples therapy.
You deserve to live a life on your terms. Sometimes this can seem impossible when experiencing anxiety, depression or low self esteem. You feel stuck. This can make it difficult to make decisions about who you want to be or how to get to where you want to go. My belief is that counseling is an opportunity to gain a deeper sense of personal meaning and allow for more self-understanding, which can help to reduce these intense emotions as well as helping to clarify what you want out of life. My approach is interactive; together we create a space where you are seen, heard, and understood. It is in this space that I will not only listen to your story but also be assessing how your body is reacting to the events in your life. I use mindfulness, cognitive work and EMDR in session, all practices that will help you to learn how to regulate yourself better and ultimately allow for healing from past traumatic or uncomfortable experiences.
