In my clinical work, I thoroughly enjoy getting to know clients and their families. The most important aspect is to provide a safe and comfortable environment so clients can form a trusting, open, honest relationship in order to facilitate change. On my end, that requires relatability as well as sincerity to meet the client where they are as well as embracing their individualized experiences. The overarching goal is to get each client to overcome personal obstacles, reach their full potential, strengthen or improve their relationship with family members, and learn appropriate skills to help them succeed in the everyday world. As all people have unique strengths and interests, treatment plans are individualized to ensure that they match the person's needs. Whether that is lessening the burden of anxious thoughts, learning how to get oneself out of a depressed mood state, teaching skills to help calm down when agitated, or discussing social interactions to feel more comfortable, each individual requires their own road map. I enjoy applying a person-centered, strength-based approach as well as weaving in cognitive-behavioral techniques. Counselling sessions are goal-driven; however, goals are developed in a cooperative manner, including the client, myself, and (when appropriate), other family members

I have worked in the behavioral health field for over two decades as a Certified Addiction Counselor guiding individuals through their process of self-discovery. I use CBT to help identify underlying beliefs that motivate you to persist in harmful patterns, allowing you to make more successful choices. I enhance my counseling with Motivational Interviewing, experiential and creative interventions while using a social justice framework. I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. My passion is facilitating growth and healing using your intersecting identities, both visible and invisible, as strengths. I most enjoy working with those newly in recovery, using both my clinical skills and my lived experience as a survivor and someone in long-term recovery. In addition to working with addictions and recovery, I am skilled working in the areas of sexuality and relationship structure minorities, BDSM/Kink, anxiety management, aging, career counseling, creativity coaching, mood disorders, divorce recovery, incarceration, and reentry, and those who practice alternative spiritualities. I am sex-positive & sex work positive. Whether you’re in crisis or interested in exploring personal growth, we can work together to build from your strengths to improve your life. Things about me that may interest you: I am a married bi-sexual cis-woman with children, a practicing Wiccan, kinky and polyamorous. I am a teacher and fiber artist who knits, spins, and weaves. My passion is creating. I provide counseling at $250 per 50-minute session to individuals, and $300 to couples and polycules. Sliding scale fees can be negotiated depending on financial need. I also provide continuing education for addiction counselors with a focus on increasing clinical skills in the areas of sexuality and recovery.

Welcome! Regardless of what you’re experiencing, you don’t have to do it alone. My ultimate hope for my clients is that they develop deeper, more rewarding relationships with themselves, God, and others. I love getting to be your partner in this process. CLINICAL FOCUS I am a disordered eating counselor who is passionate about helping individuals heal their relationship to food and their bodies. Having worked in higher levels of care in eating disorder recovery (IP, RES, PHP), I have extensive knowledge and experience in treating a range of eating difficulty presentations. I believe that many of us end up stuck in patterns that aren’t serving us like they used to. These patterns are often why people enter therapy. My clients typically hear me say that their behaviors make sense and have been incredibly useful at times to keep them safe, connected, and surviving. When these behaviors don’t serve us anymore, we need to learn something new. That’s where therapy comes in. I incorporate EMDR and talk therapy to help people move past disordered eating behaviors and rebuild broken trust with themselves and their bodies. When our body isn't the enemy anymore, we have the capacity for more depth, connection, and presence in our lives. This impacts everything. I also work with individuals facing challenging relationship dynamics, trauma and attachment wounds, anxiety and depression, shame and self-worth issues, and spiritual concerns. In addition, I am a Prepare/Enrich Certified Facilitator and enjoy working with pre-marital couples as they prepare for marriage. WHAT TO EXPECT IN A SESSION My counseling style is warm and relational. I counsel from an attachment perspective, which means I prioritize building a secure relationship between us. We'll do hard work together, but you'll always have someone in the trenches with you. I conduct sessions virtually. This means we will meet from the comfort of your home (or lunch break if needed!). Being in an environment that is familiar to you can help create a sense of security. It can also eliminate barriers that make it difficult to attend therapy.

In my over ten years of experience, I have worked with a myriad of conditions. The most common issues that I see are anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, women’s issues, substance abuse, stress, self-esteem, and relationship problems. I am a compassionate, non-judgemental therapist. Typically, I use a mix of cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and mindfulness based cognitive therapy techniques with clients. I believe that your brain is a muscle, and with enough work you can train your brain. Together we will explore the thoughts and behaviors that keep you feeling trapped. When you work on changing your thoughts and cognitions, your behavior can change. This in turn, can change your life. I strongly believe in continuing education and learning something new each day. Some of the specific areas that I have much expertise, education, and research in are: -Anxiety in college -Wellness and health counseling -Eating Disorders and Athletes -Stress overload in teens and young adults -Women’s Issues I love working with people who are not afraid to be challenged and those who are motivated to make a lasting change in their life. As far as age populations go, I can work with any age, but work best with those aged over 14 years old. I believe that each person has the power to have control in their life. My hope is for you to leave my office feeling inspired and empowered.

Hello! Let's be honest...seeking therapy can be an uncertain and anxiety-filled process whether you have never worked with a counselor before or have had multiple bad experiences leaving you feeling guarded and hopeless. Each client has different needs and you deserve counseling that is tailored specifically to you. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Georgia. I currently hold an Educational Specialist’s Degree (Ed.S.) in Counselor Education and a Master’s Degree (M.S.) in Clinical Psychology. I have extensive experience working in the counseling field for over 10 years where I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults receiving services for behavioral mental health and substance abuse in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, and semi independent residential treatment facilities. Specifically, I have worked with clients diagnosed with depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, attention-deficit hyperactivity, and psychotic disorders as well as those struggling with behavioral and emotional distress, low self-esteem, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, sleep difficulties, and more. I particularly enjoy working with students and faculty to help them thrive during transitions. Because therapy is not a one-size-fits-all solution, I use an integrative approach and pull from various theoretical orientations (person-centered, solution-focused, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal process) to ensure your treatment is individualized and collaborative. Regardless of the intervention or techniques used, I practice from the fundamental belief that most often people are good and are trying to do their best given their current situation, but may make bad decisions. We are all human and imperfect… and worthy of love and compassion. This includes you. I am part of the Path referral network, which means that when you reach out, my team will get back to you quickly to schedule our first session. Through Path, I am in-network for most commercial insurances, and the average cost of a session for clients who use their insurance is less than $30.

I consider therapy a collaborative practice in communication and connection, and work with couples and individuals. My open-minded and accepting approach to therapy helps people heal trauma, process loss, manage stress, make strong decisions and better understand relationships. I draw from many different disciplines to treat the whole person. Welcoming and practical, my approach doesn’t depend on any specific philosophy—I get to know you, your needs and your goals—then tailor the experience to fit you and your life. My life’s work has focused on progressive and holistic education and wellness. Comfortable connecting with all types of people, I've counseled and taught in settings from farms to prisons to corporate offices. I started my practice in early 2015 while also developing an Emotional Intelligence curriculum that I teach to urban, high-tech professionals, start-ups, and corporations. I have an M.A. and Ed.M in Counseling Psychology from Columbia University with a focus in Multicultural Counseling. I have been trained in anti-racism and LGBT SafeZone, yoga and meditation, and strength-based interpersonal psychotherapy with Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) components. My specialization with couples is Emotionally Focused Therapy, for which I recommend first reading Sue Johnson's Hold Me Tight. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of New York and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Georgia.

Let's TALK IT OUT, not TOUGH IT OUT. Toughing it out can lead you to suffer in silence, become more isolated, and possibly seek out negative or harmful ways to dull the pain. I encourage you to take the risk of being vulnerable in order to relive that pain as well as grow stronger and braver. Contact me today so we can start the journey of Talking it Out, in order for you to get on the path of living Happier, Healthier and Longer. My approach is to develop a meaningful and trusting relationship. It is through this relationship that pain is relieved and growth happens, and these "Emotional Corrective Experiences" will begin to have a positive impact on your life.

During our sessions together, I will support you in exploring the many parts of you and how they came to be. I will work with you to identify the negative messages connected to these parts of you. We will form a relationship with these parts and create a safe place for all of you to be seen, heard, and understood. In this safe place, you will heal yourself. Developing my own internal resources has helped me to move through some very difficult times as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. Using evidence based research, I provide care that values every part of you and respects where you came from. In those moments of pain and struggle and self-discovery, I will help you to choose yourself. I seek to create a safe and inclusive space for black-bodied individuals, first generation immigrants, LGBTQ+ folks, survivors of trauma, sex workers, and clients who are struggling with relationship and intimacy issues. My approach to mental health care is rooted in anti-oppressive and decolonizing frameworks. The treatment modalities that I use have been found to be effective across many cultures, ages, genders, and experiences. I am here to support my clients in rediscovering themselves, strengthening their mind-body connection, and living the life they have always wanted.

I specialize in performance anxiety and high achievement challenges among musicians, graduate students, and creative professionals. Clients may look like they’re doing “fine” on the outside but feel anxious, overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck internally. Many of my clients struggle with perfectionism, self-doubt, or fear of not measuring up even after success. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practices such as ACT, mindfulness, and cognitive behavioral strategies. I aim to create a space where you can think clearly, feel understood, and build tools that actually work in real life — whether that’s managing anxiety, rebuilding confidence, or navigating a major life transition. Therapy with me is practical, thoughtful, and growth-oriented. You don’t have to be in crisis to benefit. Sometimes you just need space to reset, reflect, and move forward with clarity. Before I was a therapist I was a music professor, and I watched talented, driven students strive for excellence while quietly struggling with anxiety and self-doubt. Many were trying to meet not only external expectations, but the very high standards they set for themselves. Over time, I began to see a real need for therapists who truly understand the intense pressure of performance-driven environments. That realization led me to pursue clinical training. I understand what it feels like to care deeply about your work, your performance, and your future. I spent years in higher education and the performing arts, so I know firsthand the pressure that can come with auditions, exams, presentations, and high expectations. My path into therapy grew out of a desire to support people navigating those same pressures with greater clarity, steadiness, and confidence.

I am passionate about providing a safe space for my clients to find internal and external peace by living and loving more authentically. If you want to foster more love for yourself, boost your self-esteem, confidence, authenticity, start here. We can alleviate depression, anxiety, uncertainty; and heal your pain and trauma. I believe everyone deserves empathy and support free of judgment. I particularly love working with people in or considering non-monogamous relationships and transgender or gender non-conforming youth. Office hours include evenings and weekends (Sunday). I particularly love helping people considering and exploring ethical non-monogamy (swinging, polyamory) navigate the choppy waters of uncharted territory in their relationship(s). Because I am so passionate about this work, I host a free (donations encouraged) polyamory support group for anyone in or considering polyamorous relationships.
