Welcome! Regardless of what you’re experiencing, you don’t have to do it alone. My ultimate hope for my clients is that they develop deeper, more rewarding relationships with themselves, God, and others. I love getting to be your partner in this process. CLINICAL FOCUS I am a disordered eating counselor who is passionate about helping individuals heal their relationship to food and their bodies. Having worked in higher levels of care in eating disorder recovery (IP, RES, PHP), I have extensive knowledge and experience in treating a range of eating difficulty presentations. I believe that many of us end up stuck in patterns that aren’t serving us like they used to. These patterns are often why people enter therapy. My clients typically hear me say that their behaviors make sense and have been incredibly useful at times to keep them safe, connected, and surviving. When these behaviors don’t serve us anymore, we need to learn something new. That’s where therapy comes in. I incorporate EMDR and talk therapy to help people move past disordered eating behaviors and rebuild broken trust with themselves and their bodies. When our body isn't the enemy anymore, we have the capacity for more depth, connection, and presence in our lives. This impacts everything. I also work with individuals facing challenging relationship dynamics, trauma and attachment wounds, anxiety and depression, shame and self-worth issues, and spiritual concerns. In addition, I am a Prepare/Enrich Certified Facilitator and enjoy working with pre-marital couples as they prepare for marriage. WHAT TO EXPECT IN A SESSION My counseling style is warm and relational. I counsel from an attachment perspective, which means I prioritize building a secure relationship between us. We'll do hard work together, but you'll always have someone in the trenches with you. I conduct sessions virtually. This means we will meet from the comfort of your home (or lunch break if needed!). Being in an environment that is familiar to you can help create a sense of security. It can also eliminate barriers that make it difficult to attend therapy.
We are a online community for the curious and courageous seeking the space to heal & grow. Providing online therapy for teens, adults, and couples.

I strive to thoughtfully and flexibly integrate a variety of techniques and treatment approaches, according to the particular needs and strengths of each individual. As an experienced and dedicated clinician, I value the opportunity to join patients in the process of reaching their therapeutic goals. My objective is to assist you in expanding insight into the self so that you're equipped to effectively manage difficult emotions, modify problematic behaviors, and fulfill individual needs. I offer a warm, supportive, safe, and respectful environment in which those of any identity and from all cultures/backgrounds are welcome. Traditional, at the office therapy, has become a thing of the past. We understand some still might have a preference for it, and believe it’s actually best suited for children under the age of 8. Having said that, we strive to stay ahead of the curve and provide our clients the best therapy available. Yes, we do this by having an amazing group of therapists, and also by providing convenient counseling that fits the needs of our clients. Working with your therapist through easy to use online therapy is a practical and smart solution in today’s world. We also work with young people who are attending school or dealing with transitions in life that can cause stress, tense feelings and overall discomfort.
At RivaWell, I work best with people who are ready for change. You may be high functioning but internally overwhelmed. The clients who thrive here are self aware, open to reflection, and willing to take responsibility for their growth. They are not looking for a quick fix. They want clarity, strategy, and realignment. At RivaWell, we focus on getting to the root, strengthening your nervous system, and helping you make aligned decisions that support the life you are building. If you are ready to do the work and want structured, thoughtful support, I invite you to book a consultation. Let’s determine if we are a good fit.

Life can be difficult to maneuver. As multifaceted individuals we often carry a little weight in every one of our realms. These weights can be a result of the specific “trauma points” that we’ve held on to as our perspective has grown over time. Those points look like family conflict, life transitions, career stress, relational/personal redevelopment or many other reasons for why we may have crossed paths here today. Overall, how we engage with those points affects our relationship with healing. Whether we recognize it or not, we all could have used guidance through a period of suffering. Every doubt is an opportunity for growth. “As you start to walk along the way, the way appears…” Trusting the journey by learning through our opportunities for growth can align us with our highest possible outcomes. To do that, I use a few types of therapy such as EMDR, CBT, Solutions-Focused & Strength-Based learning techniques to help encourage an atmosphere where growth is focused & intentional. It could be helpful to remember that the journey is the process. As we learn ourselves through guided introspection we can gain insight into patterns that contribute to our daily habits. You are exactly where you’re supposed to be. My intention is to meet you where you are, with respects to your journey. I look forward to walking along the way with you.
