Psychologist
Natick, MA

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in treating adolescents and young adults. I have almost 25 years of experience working with individuals and families. I love supporting college students who are in a unique position of figuring out who they are and how they want to be in the world. It is a time of great transition and growth. I specialize in treating eating disorders and body image, and I am experienced in treating anxiety, depression, relationship problems, life transitions, stress, and addiction. I balance insight and understanding with skills and practical tools for change. I believe that people always have the capacity to grow and change. We’ll work together to determine your goals for treatment and to develop a plan that meets those goals. I believe psychotherapy is most effective within the context of a trusting relationship, and I work hard to establish a real connection without judgement with each individual. People describe me as warm, compassionate, supportive, and I have also been known to be direct and humorous. I look forward to the opportunity to help you to be the best person you can be.

I am committed to understanding and addressing the unique challenges that young people (especially girls and women) encounter today. I strive to foster a safe, non-judgmental, and nurturing environment for clients to explore their emotions, better understand and express themselves, and develop the resilience and coping skills required to effectively manage the challenges they encounter. I employ evidence-based therapeutic approaches that are tailored to each individual's unique needs and developmental stage. Common concerns I treat include: anxiety and stress, depression/mood disorders, behavioral and emotional dysregulation, social problems, family conflict, and trauma-related issues. I also provide comprehensive psychological assessments. My psychological evaluations can help gain diagnostic clarity, identify underlying issues (e.g., learning disorders, ADHD, mood disorders, etc.), and assist with treatment and educational planning.

I work with college students impacted by trauma and those who struggle with attention deficit and social difficulties in a long-term therapeutic relationship. I am particularly passionate about working with those on the LGBTQ+ spectrum. I have expertise in relational trauma, substance abuse, and social difficulties in the context of major life transitions. I am also practiced in working through executive dysfunction and autism spectrum disorders. I also conduct neuropsychological and psychological assessment and testing. Psychiatrist

I believe therapy offers the opportunity to become who you really are. People are often unaware of all of the factors that are keeping them stuck, creating dissatisfaction, or causing distressing symptoms. By developing a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships through therapy, it becomes possible to experience your life more authentically, feel better in your relationships, and move toward what is enriching or important to you. I provide a reliable and empathic setting where we can carefully understand the difficulties you are experiencing – leading to relief, personal growth and lasting change. I provide psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis. Of note, I have a sliding scale for psychoanalysis patients. As a board-certified psychiatrist I can also prescribe, when indicated, psychiatric medications – either in combination with or separate from therapy. When medications are considered, I will work collaboratively with you to make shared treatment decisions while carefully weighing the risks, benefits and alternatives to medication. I have extensive experience helping patients with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, low self-esteem, ADHD, OCD, identity questions and more. I also have a special interest in working with LGBTQ+ individuals. In addition to my practice, I’m also a Teaching Associate at Harvard Medical School and a member of the Boston Psychoanalytic Society & Institute. I completed my Adult Psychiatry Residency training at Cambridge Health Alliance / Harvard Medical School. I welcome you to email me or call with questions or to schedule a free consultation.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Norwell, MA

I am a licensed mental health counselor. My goal is to support clients with their mental health as well as stress management, relationship issues, and finding the appropriate services. Therapy does not have to solely be for people in crisis. Being proactive with your mental health and attending therapy can have long-lasting benefits. My first goal when starting with a client is building rapport. In order for therapy to be effective, there needs to be a mutual trust between the client and therapist. I primarily use a cognitive behavioral and person centered approach to therapy. Although every session typically includes “talk therapy,” I also try to use a variety of interventions. I also have a therapy dog in my office who loves to cuddle on the couch with patients.

We are a holistic and integrative counseling + wellness practice that strives to assist you in finding the root cause for what you have been experiencing, thus bringing you back to balance. We believe that there are so many factors that contribute to dysfunction in our health, and if one aspect is off then that's when we start to experience symptoms. These symptoms - whether a warm body temperature, a headache, or anxiety - are energetic shifts in our body that alert us. Through the process of counseling, wellness programs, specific approaches, and other offerings we provide, you will explore these dysfunctions, get to the root of them, and ultimately become a more balanced self. Wherever you are at in this moment, that's where we will begin. Together we will uncover, strengthen, and uplift the loose pieces that create who you are. Just remember: the anchor will always be there and can be used anytime throughout the process
