Are you feeling pressure to perform in the classroom, on the field/court/rink, in the studio/on stage, or any other extracurricular? Are you struggling to figure out what direction to go in academically or professionally? Are you feeling tied down from your past or worried about the impending future? Are you dealing with current, here-and-now distress? These stressors and uncertainties can be overwhelming and therapy is the right place to explore them, cultivate insight around them, and develop ways to overcome. Therapy is a tool to support you in accepting the things you can't change and building capacity to effectively change the things that you can- it's a balancing act. Life is too short to spend our time suffering unnecessarily or spinning our wheels trying to effect change. If you are reading this, you are probably already responding to a felt need for support- this is a good thing! Now it's time to do one of the hardest parts- get started. My approach is client-centered, collaborative, goal-directed, and guided by on-going feedback. I balance compassionate, non-judgmental support with encouragement to take thoughtful, measured risks- helping clients build confidence in their capacity to tolerate, move through, heal, and grow from life’s challenges. If you feel that now is the time, I'd love to hear from you and I'd be happy to set up a consultation call to figure out if we'd be a good fit. Please reach out!

Windhorse Counseling was born out of Alannah DiBona’s passion for transforming the lives of adolescents. After working within the high school system providing transitional support to students, Alannah realized that there were additional needs for her clients beyond what she could provide in the school setting. She built a practice centered on providing supplemental care in a comfortable, safe, and approachable environment. Windhorse Counseling has quickly grown to offer services to individuals, families, and couples from all walks of life. The presence of office dogs, namely Theo the Bloodhound and Milo the Golden Retriever enhances the home-like ambiance and provides therapeutic doses of humor and affection. Windhorse Counseling operates in the beautiful Damon Mill building with the goal of providing a living-room-like environment for clients of all ages to dig deep, connect, and begin the journey of healing. Located on the Assabet River with an abundance of natural greenery and forestry, the office setting is calming and serene. Clients find that the mindfully decorated indoor space and the quiet, natural surroundings set the stage for inner contemplation and interpersonal connection with our acclaimed and accomplished counselors. With the help of our hard-working office-dogs, clients are also able to loosen up, enjoy hilarious moments, and balance the deep work with lighter moments of pure joy and laughter.

He is passionate about starting conversations about mental health at an early age. He strives to give clients the skills they need for a lifetime of healthy habits, including strong coping skills that allow individuals to feel meaning and joy in their lives.
