If you're someone who feels better after talking things throughāthose who find relief in external processing and ventingāyou're in the right place. Many of my clients come to me because they feel the need to keep their feelings and thoughts bottled up around friends and family, out of fear of judgment or being a burden. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can express yourself freely. My approach is laid-back and conversational. Hi, Iām Kari (she/they)! Iām a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Massachusetts and a Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F). I provide body-centered and nature-based psychotherapy for folks who have experienced complex trauma, religious/spiritual harm, and/or chronic illness. Coming from a humanistic perspective, my practice is based on the belief that every human being has inherent dignity and worth. I truly trust that you are already whole and have everything you need within you to create change and live the life you are meant to live; you may just need some support in developing and connecting to your bodyās inner wisdom, which is where I come in. I am here to provide a safe space for you to explore your inner landscape in order to help you meet your goals. Depending on your preferences and needs, I will use an eclectic mix of mindfulness, body-based, expressive, and narrative approaches, all from a trauma-informed perspective.

Navigating challenges in our daily lives can seem overwhelming especially when dealing with the echoes of past trauma. Seeking support is a courageous step, and you donāt have to face this journey alone.
Some clients arrive feeling the weight of their anxiety. Others are in the middle of a transitionānavigating changes in relationships, family dynamics, or adjusting to a new diagnosis or ongoing health condition. These transition moments can bring a level of uncertainty thatās hard to tolerate and often lead to second-guessing, especially when your body or health begins to feel unpredictable or outside of your control. I also work with individuals who experience intrusive thoughts or feel caught in patterns meant to prevent something bad from happening. These thoughts can feel unsettling or even at odds with who you areāmaking them confusing, distressing, and difficult to talk about. For some, these experiences are connected to obsessive-compulsive patterns (often referred to as OCD), even if thatās not a term youāve used for yourself before. There are effective, evidence-based ways to work with OCD patterns, and we can talk through what that might look like for you. At the heart of my work is the belief that therapy is a collaborative process. You should want to talk to your therapist, and from the very beginning, I focus on creating a space where you can talk openly about whatās actually on your mind. The relationship between therapist and client matters deeply. Meaningful change tends to happen when people feel understood, respected, and able to show up honestlyā even when what theyāre bringing to session feels messy, confusing, or hard to put into words. Therapy isnāt one-size-fits-all, and no single approach works for every person or every situation. I draw from a range of approaches and tailor the work to each clientās needs, goals, and experiences. Depending on what feels most helpful, this might include building a clearer understanding of the patterns youāre caught in, exploring where those patterns come from, or finding new ways to respond to them. Across all of this, my focus is on helping you make sense of what youāre experiencing and shift the patterns that are keeping you stuck so they begin to have less of a hold on you over time.

Together, we cultivate self-awareness, develop healthier coping strategies, and nurture personal growth in a safe, non-judgmental environment. Iām a relational therapist who is passionate about creating a comfortable, non-judgmental space where clients can truly be themselves. My approach emphasizes building a strong therapeutic relationship and empowering clients to heal and grow at their own pace. I understand how challenging lifeās difficulties can be, and Iām here to support you in every step. Person Centered Therapy provides individual, family, and couples therapy to treat a multitude of mental health conditions. I particularly enjoy working with college students and young adults to guide them through career and life transitions as well as helping them to overcome limiting beliefs so they can thrive. I have over 27 years of experience in helping clients overcome anxiety, depression, anger, trauma/PTSD, grief/loss, stress, self-esteem, gender identity, phobias, and other issues which once prevented them from accomplishing their goals and making the important changes they wanted in life. Clients can expect āperson centeredā therapy which means the focus is on each personās own unique insights and experiences. This empowers our clients to take a lead role in their therapy which offers them autonomy, empathy, unconditional positive regard, and help to reach their full potential to live a fulfilling life. We offer a safe and supportive environment so clients not only receive encouragement, but also feel comfortable being fully involved in sharing their thoughts and experiences. Such a supportive approach encourages clients to explore their own insights, find solutions, and take a very active role in their therapy. This method also promotes self-awareness, personal growth, autonomy and empowerment plus helps to develop healthy and effective coping strategies to improve emotional well-being and functioning across all areas.
