I have experiences working with young adults in college counseling setting. Many of the people I work with are navigating periods of change, uncertainty, or feeling overwhelmed. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, trauma, identity exploration, academic or career stress, or simply feeling like you've lost your sense of direction. My goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to better understand yourself, build on your strengths, and move toward meaningful, lasting change.
I am a psychologist in private practice in Somerville, MA. I am also licensed the the State of Maine. I am currently working with clients both virtually and in my Davis Square office. Many of my clients come for therapy when they facing a challenging life circumstance or transition. Often they have noticed patterns in their relationships and other aspect of life that they would like to understand and change. In addition to addressing issues such as stress, anxiety and mood concerns, my clients are often interested in exploring underlying causes of symptoms so they can feel more satisfied in their lives and relationships. Please feel free to call or email me if you would like to discuss psychotherapy.
Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, identity exploration, trauma, relationship challenges, or simply hoping to better understand yourself, I am here to help you reconnect with yourself and what matters most to you. I am a solution-focused therapist who meets clients where they are at with compassion, but also help to build strategies on how to cope with life. I incorporate a blend of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing to help adolescents and young adults find healthy ways to work through stressors.
We specialize in young adults using science based therapies from a strength based perspective. Typically, we'll utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), and we'll cater our therapy approach based on a person's needs. We work with all walks of life, families, couples, and marriages. We believe hope is possible and work towards bettering a person's life.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over ten years of experience. My areas of specialty include: depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, conflicts around cultural identity, life transitions, and academic and career struggles. I am particularly interested in helping clients who face conflicts around their race, culture, and identity. This may include first and second-generation immigrants who have the challenge of straddling multiple cultures and finding their authentic voice. I work pragmatically and collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals. I earned my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Northwestern University in Chicago, IL where I received the Walter Burke Award in Clinical Excellence and a Distinction of Honors on my Ph.D. Comprehensive Qualifying Paper. At Northwestern, I trained in psychodynamic and dialectical behavioral therapy and published several research papers on juvenile detainees and violence in persons with severe mental illness in peer-reviewed journals. I completed my internship at the Jacobi Medical Center in the Bronx, NY where I treated adolescents, families, and adults in outpatient clinics, a Psychiatric Emergency Room, and on an adult inpatient unit. Afterward, I worked as an individual and group psychotherapist and clinical supervisor at the counseling center at Fordham University in the Bronx, NY. At Fordham, I was also the outreach coordinator in which I regularly interacted with marginalized students on campus. In addition to working as a psychotherapist, I worked at the Harvard Business School assisting with the organizational psychology course, “Authentic Leadership Development.”
Navigating higher education comes with heavy pressure and lots of juggling. Relationships, life transitions, financial stress, and family expectations can quickly compound into overwhelm, anxiety, and burnout. Therapy provides a chance to catch your breath and build a more satisfying life on your own terms. I offer a grounded and collaborative space where we can unpack emotional patterns, reduce stress held in the body, and explore identity questions. My approach weaves mind, body, and relationship dynamics together, drawing from an integrative, trauma-informed blend of relational, somatic, narrative, and cognitive behavioral therapies. Whether you're new to therapy or returning, I encourage you to reach out to see if we’d be a good fit.
