Therapists for college students near Harvard University
If you’re feeling anxious, overwhelmed, lonely, or unsure of yourself, you’re not alone — and I’m really glad you’re here. So many college students and young adults struggle with anxiety, depression, sleep issues, relationship stress, or feeling uncomfortable in their own skin. It can be exhausting to carry all of that by yourself. In our work together, you’ll have a calm, supportive space where you can talk openly, breathe a little easier, and feel seen without judgment. I’m a therapist who genuinely loves helping people understand themselves and feel more grounded in their lives. Sometimes that means learning practical tools to ease anxiety or shift unhelpful patterns. Other times it’s having a quiet, steady place to sit with your feelings and figure out what you truly want. My background includes an undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and master’s degrees in Public Health and Social Work from Tulane University and Westfield State University. My approach draws from psychodynamic therapy, CBT, and DBT, and I blend these methods in a way that feels natural, supportive, and tailored to you. Above all, I want you to feel safe, understood, and hopeful about the changes you’re working toward. This is a space for you — to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and move forward with more confidence and clarity.

As a neurodivergent clinician, I have found myself particularly well suited to working with clients with ADHD, AuDHD, PTSD, PDA and/or who are autistic. I also have over a 15 years of experience working with trauma survivors and LGBTQ+ communities. Many of my clients found past experiences of talk therapy unhelpful or helpful only as “maintenance” while larger issues were neglected. I focus on two specific therapies, EMDR and IFS, that go deeper to address underlying issues. I also center the unique needs of neurodivergent clients and include ways to help manage distress and recognize stressors. For many neurodivergent clients, therapy approaches such as CBT have backfired. For example, treating autistic burnout with strategies from CBT to manage depression can actually worsen exhaustion and burnout. Similarly, using exposure therapy to address anxiety primarily caused by social and sensory issues related to ADHD or autism may cause further distress. I center neurodivergent experiences in my approach to therapy and help clients explore strategies to reduce sensory and emotional overload and recover from burnout. If you are finding yourself spending your energy just trying to get through the day, it is time to start working towards a better future. Let's work together to help you level up your life.
Is anxiety or depression getting in the way of the life that you want to lead? Do you want to move towards independence but feel confused or overwhelmed? Are you questioning your sexuality or gender identity? I am here to help. I offer a calming, nonjudgmental presence providing support and helping you to learn new ways of overcoming the difficulties that you face. My approach is client-centered and I am continually impressed with the strength and resilience of the clients that I work with. I work with adults (18 and up) but particularly enjoy working with young adults transitioning to independence and LGBTQIA people. It can be frightening to reach out for assistance, especially if you have not been in therapy before. I have been told by past clients that my calm demeanor and gentle approach have helped them to overcome their reservations and fully engage in the healing process.
In my practice, I strive to provide therapeutic experiences that create self-awareness, self-compassion, and practical tools for improving your life. Together, we will use trauma-informed, collaborative, and empowerment-focused approaches that help to make positive change more possible. I have focused on working with women and LGBTQ+ individuals and groups who are navigating relationship issues, anxiety and depression, recovery from interpersonal violence and trauma, and family issues, which includes parenting, step-parenting, and attachment. With a background in leadership psychology, I also support women on their career and professional journeys to discover their styles of leadership.
I provide counseling services to individuals, couples and families seeking workable solutions and a balanced life. Therapy helps individuals explore and improve their emotional, behavioral and relationship functioning. My style is warm, relaxed and comfortable; my work emerges from a positive, strengths-based perspective. I offer both teletherapy and in office sessions.
