Sometimes we can feel as if on a mountaintop with a sense of clarity and other times in a valley unable to see the next step. Life is a journey with experiences and seasons where we can all use some help along the way. Whether it be marriage, dating, work, friendships, or family dynamics, relationships can be complex. Through life's complexities we can learn and grow. I believe everyone deserves to experience joy and live an abundant life. By living authentically to ourselves and others we can become the best version of ourselves. My desire is to meet you where you are and collaboratively work with you to reach your full potential. My experience includes addiction counseling, grief work, mens issues, couples counseling, trauma counseling, veteran-specific counseling, and working with adolescents on behavioral issues in their family system. I can also provide music therapy as a board-certified music therapist. Creating change is an active choice and one that is empowering and takes courage to implement. At times we all need help, especially when life gets complex and problems occur. I can relate to life's complexity and extend empathy in your process. My goal is to walk alongside you and provide tools with the mindset that you are the expert of your own life.
I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy, and have been practicing for the past 17 years. I specialize in work with individuals, couples, families and teens, and have a focus in systems theory and narrative therapy. I prefer to work in collaboration with my clients to use the expertise that they have in their own lives to help find strategies that can help them build the life that they want. I am passionate about helping people work through and solve the problems that are important to them and I consider it an honor to be invited into the lives of my clients through the element of therapy.
Welcome! I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for disordered eating, eating disorders, and anxiety/perfectionism. I am extensively trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). ACT is an action-based therapy which helps individuals accept challenging emotions and experiences while doing what works and is meaningful to them - moving towards the life they want to live. ACT is an evidence-based treatment for eating disorders, as well as anxiety, depression, OCD, and chronic pain. For the past five years, I have worked in eating disorder treatment at all levels of care. I am a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) by the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP).
Therapy is a collaborative process. One that involves the client, the therapist, and the relationships and experiences that have shaped us throughout our lives. The reasons that bring you to this page are unique and specific to you. Finding the best therapeutic fit is no different. Often the path that led you here has been one full of reflection, questions and challenging decisions. At times that path can also feel uncertain, overwhelming, or confusing. My hope for you is that this is a step in the direction towards peace and insight while providing comfort knowing that you no longer need to take additional steps on your own. My work with adolescents, couples, and families began long before my therapeutic training and became more specialized over time. I utilize a strength-based, empowering and trauma informed approach while integrating humor and warmth. My work with youth in residential settings and parent coaching has shaped my style to be direct while compassionate. If you have decided that we may work well together, have additional questions, or would like to reach out for a consultation; I look forward to connecting soon. Only you can determine what feels best as a next step. My hope is to assist you through your process while working together to identify a direction that supports you and your therapeutic goals.

I recognize how difficult it can be to seek out therapy and my passion for helping others has encouraged me to develop a supportive environment for clients to engage in treatment. As a therapist, I will actively listen to your experiences and help you process your emotions. I find it important to create a comfortable, nonjudgmental, and safe space for exploration into deeper meaning and understanding. I have experience with individuals specializing in work with adolescents, young adults, and adults. I am trained in therapeutic methods which include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), DBT, psycho-dynamic, IFS, EMDR, person-centered and solution focused therapy. I tailor the process to the needs, preferences, and strengths of each client. Sometimes this world is not the easiest place to live as we do not have control over every circumstance. We do, however, have control over how we respond to life situations we encounter. As humans, controlling our behaviors, our thoughts, our feelings can be a struggle at times. Therapy is a safe place to process, to learn, to grow so that we can react more effectively to life circumstances and to gain more control. College students are about adjusting into adulthood, finding independence, and developing a sense of self and directions. This is the time to utilize therapy to assist in the development of who you want to become. Trauma, mood disorders, relationship problems, anxiety, are many areas that college students suffer from due to past experiences or experiences encountered in college. Take the time to resolve and manage your mental health so that you can be the best version of you!
As a therapist my very first priority is to ensure a safe environment free from judgment and filled with positive regard. Together we can explore varying perspectives and possibilities throughout your life experiences and the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors attached to those experiences. I hope to empower you to engage with life intentionally and with meaning and to care for yourself along the way. Sessions are meant to be your time to invest in yourself, and to learn. In counseling I use a responsive approach, meaning, we will use pieces of different counseling theories that will best fit your goals and needs. The concepts that I use most include theories surrounding CBT (cognitive behavioral theory), systems theory, interpersonal relationship models, neuroplasticity, motivational interviewing, and narrative therapy. The space I cultivate is intended to be a laid back opportunity to find what works for you. With recognition that you know yourself and your experiences better than anyone else, that means you run the show at the end of the day. It is with this understanding that I mean to be an ally and resource on your path to knowledge and change.

Click here to listen to Tiffany’s talk on Developmental Trauma. When Tiffany began her career, she used more well-known techniques, like cognitive behavioral therapy and play therapy, but it wasn’t long before she became increasingly aware that the mental health field needed alternatives. Neurofeedback takes advantage of the brain's ability to change itself allowing a person of any age to make changes in behavior and thinking patterns more easily. Using a combination of counseling and Neurofeedback, Tiffany began to see more substantial changes in her client's lives. Currently, Tiffany utilizes Neurofeedback and Heart Rate Variability in combination with traditional counseling. Click here to read Tiffany’s article on the popular Blog—Triad Mom’s on Main. Tiffany works with a variety of clientele utilizing a person-centered approach, which means sessions will start with you and your needs. Together, we will explore the issues that you bring to counseling in a holistic way with emphasis on emotional and personal history perspectives. Tiffany‘s experience has allowed her to work closely with many children, teenagers, and adults of different needs and backgrounds where she brings enthusiasm, compassion and cross-cultural understanding to her work towards healing and wholeness.

I enjoy working with a variety of adult populations including LGBTQIA+, first responders, active and retired military members, their families, and dependents. I've assisted clients through their journey with grief, PTSD, relationship stresses, depression, and mood disorders for the past 5 years. If you are struggling with intrusive thoughts, depression, isolation, or anxiety I am happy to assist you in uncovering the source of these concerns and work with you toward getting back to a more positive place in your life.
I was born and raised in the Columbia area where I stayed to attend undergraduate and graduate school, graduating with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of South Carolina. I am independently licensed to provide therapy services and have experience working with children, teens, young adults, and parents to address concerns such as trauma, depression, and anxiety. I accept Blue Cross-Blue Shield insurance as well as private pay. I am currently accepting in-person and virtual clients in South Carolina and North Carolina. Hey there! I'm passionate about supporting teens and young adults as they rediscover joy, peace, and connection through life-giving attunement and fun. In my sessions, I like to focus on holding space for growth while still prioritizing comfort and connection. I also love collaborating with caregivers and family to support my clients' best. Typically, my work focuses on anxiety, depression, educational and relational stress, ADHD, burnout and self-esteem related challenges. My approach balances warmth and confidence helping clients reach goals, improve communication, and create sustainable, meaningful change. Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, reading, and trying new experiences. Life can be challenging enough without carrying everything on your own. If you're looking for someone in your corner, I'd love to connect. Fill out the form below to schedule a free 15-minute consultation, and we can see if we're a good fit.
I enjoy living in the corners and at the fringes of what stereotypical therapy might look like. It is important to me that those who are outcasts, quirky, different, neurodivergent, LGBTQ+, and the marginalized feel heard. When we work together, I want you to feel like you matter (because you do). If you like the utilization of tarot and oracle cards, we can incorporate that. If you need resources on affirming places to practice spirituality, we can look at those. If you want to talk about kink communities and how to get involved with them, we can find them. Whatever works for you works for me, and I want to help you figure that out.
