Do you struggle with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others? Even if you’ve learned ways to cope, do you feel ready to process what you’ve been holding and begin healing more deeply? The clients I work with are often thoughtful, resilient individuals who want to better understand their experiences and reclaim a sense of safety, balance, joy, and meaning in their lives. Some are curious about exploring creative expression as a way to access emotions and experiences that may be difficult to talk about directly.
Every now and then we all need a little extra support to deal with life's challenges. Whether it be everyday stress, life transitions, the loss of a loved one, anxiety, depression, past trauma, or any other mental health concern, I will work together with you to explore thoughts, feelings, behaviors, and patterns that may be contributing to your struggles. My name is Greg Emrich, and I am a pre- licensed therapist who earned my Master of Arts Degree in Counseling from Arcadia University. I have experience working with individuals of various ages dealing with a wide variety of issues. I have previous experience as a Therapeutic Support Staff and Instructional Assistant where I worked with elementary to high school aged children with autism, ODD, and other behavioral struggles. I also have experience as a University Counselor working with students ages 17-35 dealing with depression, anxiety, ADHD, eating disorders, and life transitions. Utilizing a holistic, multicultural, and solution focused mindset, I work together with my clients to explore all aspects of their life to define strengths, find solutions, and create effective ways to cope with life’s hardships. Seeking out assistance is a brave first step. I look forward to supporting you along your journey of healing and growth. Greg can be reached at 215-550-1796 x6 or gemrich@southpinecounseling.com

I have a decade-plus history of helping individuals experiencing issues ranging from general anxiety to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. These patients can vary from people who have experienced acute traumatic events, suffered from health-related problems, dealt with adverse childhoods, or are struggling with the problems of everyday life. My training allows me to tailor my approach to the individual whether I am working with a young person navigating life transitions or an adult who has experienced a traumatic event. I am as comfortable reviewing CBT coping skills as I am guiding individuals on ways to regain trust and meaning.

It takes a great deal of strength to wake up each day and face life head on. I believe that there are times in our lives that present challenges to the person you are or want to be. Whether you are dealing with stress, worry, depression, or are not getting out of life what you want or deserve, talking to someone may be helpful. With over 8 years of experience in the mental health field, I value the person you are and the person you want to be. I believe you have the ability and right to get out of life all that you want. I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, identity issues, behavioral issues, relationships and family concerns. I value and provide a safe non-judgmental setting where you can be you. I enjoy working with children, adolescents, adults and couples from all backgrounds and lifestyles. It is a pleasure to help people discover themselves, their voices, and healthier ways of dealing with life's stressors. My office is safe, clean, professional, and offers plenty of parking right outside the suite. My therapy style is rooted in rational thinking and empathetic listening. Reminding clients to recognize the power they hold in their own lives. I work collaboratively with my clients to increase self-worth and reframe faulty or problematic narratives and patterns. Creating an environment of safety and validation to support individuals in overcoming past and/or current obstacles and creating change in their lives. I'm also a big believer in nature being innately healing as well as it sometimes being easier to talk while outside or moving. So, I offer hiking or walking or sitting outdoors while conducting therapy. I like to work with anxiety, including OCD and social anxiety, depression, ADHD management, trauma, self esteem development, body image issues and communication skills. I often work with immigrants or children of immigrants and we work to overcome intergenerational trauma. We work to develop empathy and strength to create new paths.
I specialize in helping people navigate anxiety, panic, OCD, and overwhelming stress. College can be an exciting time, but it can also bring a lot of pressure of academics, relationships, uncertainty about the future, and the feeling that you have to have everything figured out. Seeking support isn’t a sign that something is wrong with you. It’s a way to build resilience and learn how to handle the challenges that come with this stage of life.
