Hello! Thank you for reading my page. I tend to work with clients who are struggling with their relationships (Friends, family or romantic) or are looking to better understand themselves. My clients tend to be insightful, creative & perhaps a bit perfectionistic. They are looking to better understand themselves and let go of unhelpful learnings or patterns in their lives, so they can feel happier and less overwhelmed.
College is hard. Trying to balance school work, activities and time with friends while managing relationships with family members or existing supports takes a lot of energy. It can be hard to find the time to do everything that needs done. Getting motivated to do things and figuring out how to prioritize school/work is a challenge in its own right. Whether it's relationship issues, struggles with focusing and stating motivated, or school/work stress, we will work on what you want to work on and figure out together how to accomplish the goals you want to accomplish. You don't have to go through things alone. This is a judgement free zone. Call today or email today for a free consultation.

I am a licensed social worker who works with children (ages 4 to 18), families and adults by providing a trusting and supportive environment in our Philadelphia and NJ offices and virtually. I have experience working with various clients from diverse backgrounds across settings including the community, schools, homes and outpatient settings. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder, ADHD, behavioral concerns, autism, and trauma. I am in the process of receiving supervision hours towards my clinical social work license. Using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and motivational interviewing, I use client centered and trauma informed approaches to therapy. I can assist you in making positive changes while working toward your goals. Reaching out for support can be difficult, but I am looking forward to meeting you when you are ready!
As a therapist, I encourage you to bring the “messiest” parts of yourself into the room during our sessions. I strive to create a safe, yet empowering space for all my clients, especially for those who hold marginalized identities. I let you set the pace of treatment and help you build confidence in your innate abilities to persevere and heal during difficult seasons of life. I also encourage you to provide feedback throughout our time together, so that we can make treatment as impactful and positive as possible. I believe that the most important aspect of our work together involves building a strong therapeutic relationship, so you can also expect a deep interest in you as a person outside of presenting concerns or diagnoses. Feel free to reach out if I sound like a good fit for you and your current needs. Either way, I wish you luck on your healing journey!
Are you a college student feeling exhausted by life’s stressors? Are you feeling anxious and depressed from all of the challenges that life seems to be throwing at you, both past and present? Are you worn down by relationships that feel more draining than they do fulfilling? You don’t have to face it all alone. You deserve support, and I am here for you! I am so excited to connect with you and be a part of your therapeutic journey! My underlying goal for therapy is to create a collaborative, safe, non-judgmental, and open environment. You are the expert of your story, and I am here to listen.
I use a humanistic, person-centered approach, utilizing a trauma-informed perspective. I strongly believe in the counselor-individual relationship, and feel a person's experiences influence their outlook and approach to the world. Through this approach, I feel individuals have the potential to grow if they have the support and environment to do so.
I support clients with anxiety, trauma reprocessing, family and relationship dynamics, and attachment/ inner child/ parts work. I enjoy helping clients "free themselves" from stuck parts or narratives, build self-confidence, heal childhood or relational wounds, and feel empowered in your own strengths instead of a "problem to fix." My approach draws on a variety of modalities including IFS, narrative therapy, strengths-based, and somatic/ body work. My style is relational, warm, and easy going. I believe healing happens within the context of authentic and supportive relationship. I aim to make our time together filled with curiosity and compassion. I welcome (and highly value!) the incorporation of any cultural or spiritual identity you deem important. I have both personal and professional experience with a variety of cultural backgrounds, and I am bilingual English/ Spanish. My waitlist is open, please email me! In a safe and non-judgmental environment, I utilize art therapy to help you process emotions and challenging life experiences. No experience in art is necessary to benefit, you only need the willingness to express yourself and engage in the creative process. I use art therapy in counseling with those who are seeking to process anxiety, stress, trauma and more. As your therapist, I will work with you to ensure that you feel safe and validated while we build the therapeutic relationship and process challenges with art therapy. Not into art? Not to worry, I also offer traditional talk therapy! Art therapy is a powerful mind-body therapeutic process. Using art in therapy stimulates the brain in areas inaccessible by verbal stimulation alone and contributes to new neural connections. Focus is on the therapeutic process of art making, creativity and reflection, as well as personal growth and development. I am here to help you with any challenges you might be facing. If this seems like a good fit for your needs, please reach out and we can discuss more in depth about how art therapy can benefit you! Email is the best way to reach me! I can add you to the waitlist immediately!
Taking the step to begin therapy is courageous, and my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where you feel understood. I believe change is always possible because our brains are capable of growth and healing. I work with adolescents and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, executive functioning struggles, and life transitions. My approach combines evidence-based methods like cognitive-behavioral therapy with insights from neuropsychology and psychopharmacology. I also help clients strengthen focus, resilience, and confidence through metacognitive skill development. In addition to my clinical practice, I teach psychology and counseling at the university level and have published research on learning, neuroplasticity, and the positive effects of therapy on the brain. These experiences help me bring both professional expertise and practical strategies to my work. Most importantly, therapy with me is collaborative. I’ll meet you where you are and partner with you to build a path forward that feels empowering, hopeful, and sustainable.
My passion for this work stems from my own struggles with mental health throughout my life. I know firsthand how important it is to have the proper support. I identify with the LGBTQIA+, kink/BDSM, and poly/ENM communities, so I am familiar with the unique issues facing these marginalized communities, and also the struggle to find a safe space to express your unique self when seeking help. Whether the issues you are seeking therapy for are directly related to your identity or not, you can freely be yourself in our sessions and let your guard down. You will not have to expend the emotional labor to educate me about your identity(ies). I provide a safe space, while clarifying your goals and desired outcome for therapy. I tailor my approach to your unique needs. However you identify, I will meet you where you are at on your personal journey, and together we can work to figure out how you can live your most authentic life. Change does not happen overnight. It requires time, patience, and a willingness to be vulnerable. If you are ready to take the first step today, I would love to hear from you so we can get started! Going to college is the hugest leap you may ever take! It is the end of childhood and the beginning of adulthood, all starting with leaving everyone and everywhere you've known for 18 years and finding yourself in a new, strange place, away from your friends, your family, your pets, your school and your stuff that all gave you comfort. You have to learn how to DO college, make new friends, study for college exams, write excellent papers, focus on preparation for a lifelong career, negotiate sexual situations, plentiful drugs and booze. It is exciting and amazing and anxiety producing and overwhelming at times. Problems DO manage to follow you to college, like focus or learning issues, family dysfunction, reactions to STRESS! Therapy is helpful in being able to talk through all of these experiences and feelings, strategizing to get a better sense of control. We specialize in reducing anxiety, depression, panic disorders, social anxiety and shyness, study inhibition, relationship issues, eating disorders and STRESS! All sexual orientations and ethnicities welcomed.
I am so glad you are thinking about support for yourself! That takes courage, and you have come to the right place. While there can be many exciting things about college, one thing is for sure. It is stressful! For many reasons. But I am not telling you something you probably aren't already experiencing. Let us help you figure out what will work to decrease your stress, whatever that looks like for you, academic, friends, dating, career decisions, loneliness, or family problems. Don't let the stress you are experiencing overwhelm you. Let us help you to put it in its place. We are experienced psychologists who use many different evidenced based approaches to treat life's challenges, including anxiety, depression, and trauma.
