As a South Asian, Sri Lankan Tamil therapist, I dedicate my practice to helping clients navigate decision-making, family dynamics, and complicated emotions. I'm especially passionate about supporting adult children of immigrants and those in the role of the eldest daughter. My approach is warm, affirming, and grounded in empowering you to use your voice. Have you ever wondered what it can look like to balance honoring your values along with your family's values? I'm here to help you find out what that balance can look like. My approach is to empower my clients in session to use their voices. I teach my clients how to listen to their emotions and utilize them in a way that honors those values. I also equip my clients with effective communication and emotional regulation skills.
Do you love each other but you just can't seem to talk without fighting lately? I specialize in helping parents, teens, individuals, and couples move from constant conflict and emotional distance to stronger, more secure connection. I help in relational repair work with adolescents and young adults, particularly in families where communication has broken down or trust feels fragile. I aim to help you get back in healthier relationships with the ones you love most. Life is too hard to do it alone. Reach out for support today.
I aim to create a safe and welcoming environment where my clients can feel comfortable sharing their life stressors and experiences. My goal is to meet my client where they are, as every person and their experiences are different and should be treated as such. I work to provide a collaborative approach to treatment with my clients by developing goals that address their needs and what they hope to achieve in therapy. I provide counseling services to teens and adults from the ages of 14 and up. The majority of my clients experience anxiety, depression, relationship issues, grief and loss, sexuality, or gender identity issues. My primary treatment modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solution Focused Psychotherapy and Acceptance and Committment Therapy.
I provide telehealth therapy for adults, teens, and early adolescents. My specialties include Autism, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, OCD, chronic disability, and anxiety. I also have extensive experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, including those seeking gender-affirming care. My approach is rooted in evidence-based behavioral therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Behavioral Psychology. I also incorporate existential perspectives to help clients find meaning and fulfillment in their lives.
Many of the students I work with are used to functioning well despite feeling anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or emotionally worn down. Some are struggling with trauma, difficult family relationships, or recurring patterns in their relationships that they don't fully understand. Others are trying to manage ADHD while balancing school, work, research, or family responsibilities. I'm also interested in working with students who are trying to make sense of themselves in the context of the world around them. That might include questions about identity, culture, community, or the emotional impact of social and political events. If you're someone who feels deeply affected by what's happening around you, therapy can be a place to think through those experiences rather than carrying them by yourself. My approach is collaborative and guided by curiosity. I don't assume there are quick answers or a single right way to do therapy. Sometimes our work is about understanding the patterns that keep repeating in your life. Other times it's about dealing with whatever is most pressing right now. Most of the time, it's both.
I work with clients dealing with a variety of concerns and take the time to really get to know you and understand what you need. We'll figure out what you want to work on together and go from there. I'm here to support you, advocate for you, and help you make changes that actually feel meaningful to you.

My ideal client is open, curious, and willing to try. Their goals may include improving self-esteem and body image, developing effective communication skills and relationships, expanding movement vocabulary, gaining insight into patterns of behavior, creating new coping options, building self-awareness, improving emotional regulation, and strengthening the connection between the brain and the body While verbal processing is a part of most therapeutic processes, Dance/Movement Therapy includes the possibility of non-verbal communication. Whether you are looking for traditional talk therapy, or you want to try a new technique to feel more in your body, please reach out to discuss. The possibilities are endless, don't let the word "dance" deter you. This is not about technique or perfection. This is about you and your own sense of movement.

One of our greatest goals as clinicians is treating you with the support and care you deserve. We not only want to help you feel better, we want to help you live better and move out of negative patterns of behavior that do not serve you. We will teach you to use the tools that help you most, so that you can continue to work with these techniques on your own, once you have completed therapy. And that sense of independence and control you gain over your own life, that will feel truly fulfilling!
