Having worked as a college success counselor, career coach, and academic coach, I can help college students with a variety of common concerns that they often bring into therapy. I have a great deal of experience working with college-aged clients from a wide variety of backgrounds. I specialize in working with adults struggling with self-acceptance, gender expression, sexual identity, and relationship difficulties, as well as depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions. I approach therapeutic work with a focus on developing a caring, honest, accepting, and unique counseling relationship with each client.  I encourage clients to develop a strong curiosity about their internal emotional worlds, while empowering them to find the strength and self-compassion within themselves to delve deeply into therapeutic work.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. Whether you're feeling stuck, anxious, grieving, questioning your identity, or overwhelmed by life transitions, therapy can be a space to slow down and reconnect with yourself. I work with college students, professionals, and adults—especially those in the LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities—who are seeking deeper insight, relief, and a renewed sense of meaning. My style is warm, collaborative, and direct. I bring a trauma-informed, relational approach to our work, integrating elements of psychodynamic therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I’ll help you explore how past experiences may still be showing up in the present and support you in making empowered, values-based choices for your future. Clients often come to me for support with anxiety, trauma, identity concerns, grief, depression, relationship issues, and career struggles. I offer virtual therapy to clients located in Pennsylvania and any PsyPact participating state. If you're ready to begin—or even just curious about what therapy might look like—I invite you to reach out. Let's see if we're a good fit.

How are you doing with the dystopia? I'm Cori, and with me, therapy starts by acknowledging that we are living in the dark ages. But my clients are heroic. They're intrepid. They're wise. They are struggling to make meaning and survive in a harsh and terrifying era. Most of us feel pretty powerless. I try to offer a brand of queer Buddhist wizardry that helps people break generational curses, find the power they DO have, and create community that sustains them. I offer many evidence based approaches to therapy, especially those that help us change our relationship with ourselves, and changing our relationship with life and reality. Existential therapy, acceptance & commitment therapy, and narrative approaches are my bread-and-butter. I also work from a great deal of other experiences; as an activist, queer organizer, drag artist, social work professor, and a student of many wisdom traditions. I lived abroad in both Europe and Asia and know how alienating, frightening, and difficult it can be to adjust to a radically different culture. I studied tàijíquán and Daoist thought on Wǔdāng mountain in central China from 2010 to 2011, and have studied and practiced Buddhism since 2011 with various Tibetan, Bhutanese, and western Lamas.

You may look like you have it all together yet inside you feel anxious, exhausted, or like you’re never “enough.” The need to be “perfect”, frequent memories of past traumatic experiences, or challenges navigating unfulfilling relationships may have left you feeling disconnected from yourself and who you believe you truly are. You want to feel present, more confident, and at peace with yourself - to stop just “surviving” and start healing. My approach is rooted in EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness-based therapies, aiming to help release the emotional charge of painful memories while gaining greater self-awareness, compassion, and balance. Together, we’ll work to heal old wounds, quiet self-doubt, and cultivate a more grounded, fulfilling life. You don’t have to carry the weight of “having it all together” anymore. In doing the work, you can reconnect with your strength and rediscover peace within yourself. If this resonates with you, I invite you to reach out. Healing can begin with one courageous step.

In this process, you can decide if and what changes you want to make. And you can do it at a pace and in ways that fit you best. My clients describe me as warm, respectful, and able to tailor therapy to their unique circumstances. My relationship centered integrated approach combines: ~ Humanistic/Person-Centered ~ Gestalt, Mindfulness, and Mind-Body ~ Experiential and Expressive Therapies ~ Empirically-Supported/Research-Based Treatments ~ CBT--Cognitive Behavior Therapy ~ DBT--Dialectical Behavior Therapy ~ ComB--Comprehensive Behavior Therapy and Habit Rehearsal Training for body-focused repetitive behaviors (BFRBs) ~ EMDR--Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ~ Other approaches as indicated, like motivational interviewing and the transtheoretical approach to change. One of the things that characterizes my work as a psychologist is that I am also a National Board Certified Occupational Therapist (OTR). I know first-hand what it takes to go back to school and change careers. After studying and working as an occupational therapist for several years, I decided to expand my skills and expertise by becoming a psychologist. My varied professional experiences share some commonalities and have allowed me to develop my interest in listening, understanding people, being present and mindful, seeing people from a holistic perspective, and exploring what gives meaning to life. While I don’t know the specific challenges you are facing, I know first-hand some of the pressures that face graduate students, traditional, and non-traditional students. I’d be curious to hear what you are facing. I would like to offer you a free phone consultation so that we can determine if we are a good therapeutic match. You can contact me by phone or email to set up a time to speak. I make every effort to protect your privacy. I am a licensed clinical social worker with nearly a decade of experience as a therapist. I specialize in treatment of complex trauma and PTSD, with Level I and Level II EMDR training. Several years ago I also completed an advanced EMDR training in somatic reprocessing, and I use awareness of the mind/body connection in much of my therapeutic treatment. Additionally, I have a great deal of experience and training in DBT and CBT, as well as trauma-focused play interventions for children. I also use these interventions to work with anxiety, mood disorders, and OCD, and have experience treating PANS and PANDAS. I have a particular passion for working with the LGBTA+ population, and offer a focus on the traumatic nature of oppression in my work. I can help transgender clients navigate medical and social transition, as well as write surgery letters. Two years ago I completed certification through the International Transgender Certification Association. I provide a warm and inviting environment where no one is judged, and everyone is free to heal and explore themselves in their own time.

Hi. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with nearly 25 years of experience. I specialize in supporting college students during times of change, challenges, losses, or mental health symptoms. I strive to help students better understand and navigate their experiences and make meaningful changes. I support self-compassion, perspective taking, discovery, and skill development. I’m flexible in my approach, and believe in personalizing scientifically proven methods to best fit your needs. I also can help you clarify, or confirm a diagnosis (i.e., label), of your mental health experiences. As an Interpersonal Therapist (IPT), my approach is a great fit for college students, who often face major transitions and challenges during school and emerging adulthood. For some students, we also focus on building healthy daily routines. Life changes can throw off routines, especially things like sleep schedules, which can worsen mental health symptoms. I help students create routines that support their well-being.

In my time working as a counselor, I have helped patients manage and overcome obstacles like anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. From challenges with the overwhelming pressure of academic life, work life, career choices, relationship challenges, and more, I will be there to offer an objective perspective on your situation and provide healthy tips and resources to navigate it. My approach empowers personal growth while always ensuring you feel safe, seen, and heard. Therapy is a great place to talk about life's problems where you can say anything and not be judged. No matter what you’re facing, talking with someone can help. My goal is to create a supportive, judgment-free space where you feel like you’re grabbing coffee with a friend…a friend who happens to be a licensed counselor with more than 10 years of experience. I work with teenagers (age 14+), adults, as well as couples. Depending on patients’ needs, I utilize CBT, DBT, and Reality Therapy approaches in sessions. Currently, all sessions will be conducted virtually, allowing you to participate from the comfort of your own home and on a more flexible schedule. Let's do this together!
