Therapists for college students near Nashville, TN
A faith based mental health service for women residing in Tennessee.
I have had a wide variety of clinical experience working with clients through trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, neurodivergent stress, life transitions and existential stress, and work/life/school stress. Additionally, I have worked with client presentations and experiences including multicultural, LGBTQIA+, and other identity considerations and related stress including internalized oppression, working through impacts from sexual assault, combat trauma, and other trauma responses, as well as many un-categorized experiences of clients that affect their inner and external worlds. I use several evidence-based practices (e.g., Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy) as well as integrating these and other therapies within less structured (or more structured!) treatment.
Hi! I'm Mollie and I have been working with children, adolescents, and young adults for the last 10 years of my life in various different settings. I'm very passionate about client care and making sure clients feel safe and validated in the therapeutic process. My goal is to be authentic, transparent, and genuine with clients. I use various techniques from different types of therapies but I am most drawn to Dialectical Behavioral There (DBT) at this time.
If you are in the beginning stages of reaching out for support or are ready to make changes in your life, my emphasis is always on meeting you where you exactly where are in your journey. I have experience working with those who have concerns with depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, those who struggle with impulsive behaviors or have gone through significant life changes. My priority is to focus on your needs and ensuring that you see our sessions as helpful and bring hope. It’s important that you feel heard and understood. Our relationship is the foundation for your healing and I take that very seriously.

We all enjoy the excitement of learning and living a fulfilled life. However, we often don’t take the time we need to take care of ourselves. For many people, this fast pace lifestyle leads to stress in different parts of our lives (careers, financial crises, children, spouses and parents) and can begin to spiral out of control and cause real stress. This can lead to anxiety, depression, addictions, anger and other painful challenges. Allan J. Katz will help you successfully understand and master the ways in which different aspects of your life interact and affect emotional health. From sex addiction counseling, stress management and couples therapy, you will discover new ways to reduce anxiety and depression, and improve the intimacy in your relationship.
We have a staff complete with multi-specialty therapy providers who have a variety of different backgrounds, training and clinical experience that are here to meet your needs. We offer both individual, couple, family, and group therapy sessions. Teletherapy sessions are also available in addition to in-person therapy. We believe in group therapy as it helps you realize that you are not alone in your journey. It helps people relate to others (and yourself) in healthier ways, as well as providing a safe and supportive place. It often helps you find your voice and build confidence, as well as many other benefits. We offer several groups at the moment.
Are you feeling anxious! I can give you a good understanding of neuroscience, how your brain works, and techniques so that you can better manage your anxiety. I enjoy helping college students gain a better understanding of how thoughts and experiences influence emotions and so I will provide you with practical feedback on your own thoughts/emotions to guide you in reaching your goals. I offer therapy with or without a Christian perspective. Your choice. No judgement from me, only support and encouragement to help you manage your difficulties.
