Life is filled with questions that don’t always have clear answers—therapy with me offers a space to examine these questions and make sense of them in a way that resonates with you. While I have a particular interest in supporting men, emerging adults, and second-generation individuals, I welcome the opportunity to work with anyone looking for support. I invite you to bring what you're experiencing so we can process it together. I view therapy as a collaborative conversation. I offer a warm, laid-back presence, facilitating space for you to be yourself. With an existential approach, we'll explore deeper questions along with day-to-day challenges. The relationship we build is central to the process and my goal is for you to feel supported and valued every step of the way.

I help millennials thrive and achieve to be their authentic selves without being held back by their own fears.
Let’s be honest—being a college student or young adult can feel like a lot. You’re expected to make big life decisions, manage responsibilities, and somehow have a plan for your future… all at the same time. It’s normal to feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of what you’re doing. You might be comparing yourself to others, questioning your path, or just trying to keep up day-to-day. The truth is, most people are figuring it out as they go—even if it doesn’t look like it. I work with young adults to create a space where you can be real. You don’t have to have everything together or know all the answers. Whether you’re dealing with stress, life transitions, or just feeling off, this is a place where you can talk things through without judgment. Together, we can make sense of what you’re going through, find ways to cope, and help you feel a little more grounded and confident moving forward. You don’t have to do this alone.

I believe therapy is a space for growth and change that can lead to stronger relationships, healthier ways of functioning, and a deeper sense of well-being. In our work together, I’ll bring empathy, respect, and genuine care. My role is to support you in becoming more self-aware and confident, while helping you make the changes you want to see in your life. To me, therapy is a collaborative process. I’m not here to "fix" you, but to walk alongside you as a guide, a support, and sometimes just a steady presence while you navigate life’s challenges. I truly believe that everyone has the ability to grow and the responsibility to pursue that growth when they’re ready. I also believe our relationships with family, partners, friends, or chosen community play a huge role in our overall well-being. When those connections feel off or strained, it can affect so many other areas of life. Whether we're working one-on-one, with a couple, or with a family, I take a systemic approach to understand the bigger picture and help shift patterns that may be keeping you stuck. And I know that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. We’ll work together to find what feels right for you. Most importantly, I’ll offer a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard. Hi! I'm Brittney, a Licensed Professional Counselor and owner of Reflection and Grace Counseling, offering telehealth therapy to students throughout Texas. College is new territory to navigate for anyone. You're managing your own schedule, navigating new relationships, and maybe questioning everything you thought you knew about yourself — all while submitting your assignments by 11:59pm before it's late. If you've noticed a little more anxiety creeping in, more self-doubt than you expected, or a general sense that everyone else has it "all figured out"...that's actually really normal. And also a great time to talk to someone. I work with adults who are tired of shrinking themselves to keep the peace and ready to build a relationship with themselves that actually feels real. My approach is warm, grounded, and judgment-free. You don't have to perform okayness here. This chapter is a big one. Let's make sure you're not navigating it alone.
About Me / Specialties I am a licensed psychologist specializing in treating adolescents and young adults with OCD, anxiety (including social anxiety, panic, phobias, and generalized anxiety), and related conditions such as body dysmorphic disorder, trichotillomania, tics, and excoriation disorder. I provide evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I see clients in-person in Cambridge, MA and virtually throughout Massachusetts and Texas. I also work with parents, offering coaching to help support their teen or young adult while reducing family accommodations. My goal is to create a compassionate, collaborative space where we take mental health seriously—but not ourselves too seriously. A little humor can go a long way in therapy! Treatment Approach I tailor treatment to each individual, often addressing co-occurring concerns like depression, eating issues, or trauma alongside anxiety or OCD. Using ERP, CBT, ACT, and DBT strategies, I help students manage symptoms, regulate emotions, and make meaningful, lasting changes—all in a supportive and approachable way. Training & Experience I earned my PhD from the University of Virginia, completed my clinical internship at Harvard Medical School/Cambridge Health Alliance, and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for OCD and Related Disorders at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, where I currently see therapy patients and conduct research on OCD spectrum disorders.

I do trauma therapy using multiple techniques but emphasizing EMDR, the most powerful and effective treatment for trauma. Life is tough, but it is tougher when you are burdened with emotional triggers from past trauma. I love working with gen Z; you are young and EMDR is remarkably effective in treating trauma symptoms in younger brains. It is a joy to see you freed from the burden of anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and difficulties with emotion regulation. Please check out my website below for further information on EMDR.
