You’re doing fine. So why doesn’t it feel like it? Maybe you’re keeping up with school, showing up for your friends, and getting through your days, but underneath it all, you feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. Maybe you overthink everything. You second-guess your decisions. You have a hard time saying no without feeling guilty. Your relationships leave you confused or drained. You keep falling into the same patterns even though you understand what you should do differently. Or maybe you’re going through a major transition and realizing that the person you’ve been becoming doesn’t quite feel like you anymore. That’s the kind of work I love doing. At Inner Axis Therapy, I work with college students and young adults who want more than coping skills and advice. We slow things down and get curious about why you respond the way you do, where those patterns came from, and what you actually want your life and relationships to look like. Therapy with me is collaborative, honest, and down-to-earth. You don’t have to come in with a diagnosis, a perfectly explained problem, or even know exactly what you need. We can start with, “Something just doesn’t feel right, and I want to understand why.” My goal isn’t to help you become a version of yourself that simply functions better. It’s to help you develop a stronger sense of who you are, trust yourself more, build healthier relationships, and make choices that feel more aligned with the person you want to become. You’re allowed to be figuring it out. Therapy can be part of that process.

Everyone tells you that college is the best time in your life and to enjoy it because it flies by. But what people don’t tell you is all the challenges that it can bring. Maybe it’s the first time you are away from your family and friends from home. It can also bring many challenges with pressure to drink or use drugs, navigating friendships and dating in a more complicated way, and figuring out what you want to do with the rest of your life. You might be in a position where in order to afford school you need to work on top of doing well in all your classes. I know personally how challenging, yet exciting, this time can be, and I am here to tell you that you don’t need to figure it all out on your own or even right now. Are you ready to enjoy your college experience, be fully present in the great moments without feeling stresses weighing you down everyday? It’s time to feel a sense of relief, confidence in who you are, and in your decisions. Together, we can make your life feel lighter and free up space for everything else you have going on! My Approach: I am a strong believer in the power of relationships. Having someone to talk to can increase our sense of happiness and positivity, and most importantly let us know that we are not alone. Life has many ups and downs, but it's what you do with them that matters. I am here to help you transform the tough moments into growth. Therapy with me looks like an open dialogue, where we both respect each other's point of view and collaborate to find solutions that help you overcome what’s been holding you back. We can talk about anything, no matter how hard it is to share. Whether it’s the good things or the bad, I am ready to hold space for even the strongest emotions that come up, because I know we can work through it together. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy that not only looks at your thoughts and feelings, but also how your environment, your cultural experiences, close relationships, and health, affect your mental wellbeing. We’ll use a variety of therapeutic techniques to best fit what you need, because therapy is not a one size fits all approach. We’ll make sure that those techniques are really working for you. It might be practicing mindfulness or trying out different coping skills to help things feel less overwhelming. Our approach will continue to grow as our therapeutic relationship develops. I know that therapy is not always easy, but I am here to support you each step of the way and I will always accept you for how you are in that moment, even the hard ones. A Little About Me: I went into undergrad undecided and had a hard time knowing what I wanted to do. I knew that I wanted to do something to help people and I wanted a career that I would enjoy. I always felt behind in some way because I didn’t know what I wanted to do right away. I have learned that a lot of people have a unique path to get to where they are. I worked as a school social worker for 8 years before private practice and that is when I really knew I loved counseling and wanted to continue on this path. I have lived in the Chicago area for most of my life and love the city! You can find me by the lake or exploring all the city has to offer. My hobbies are all over the place and include a mixture of baking, triathlons, knitting, going on long walks and finding the best matcha. I also love traveling (but hate flying) and have an ever growing list of places I want to visit.

Reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, especially when you're carrying stress, uncertainty, or emotional pain. My goal working with clients is to create a supportive, collaborative space where you feel seen, understood, and valued just as you are. I work with clients who are navigating life, including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, identity exploration, etc. I take a strengths-based, relational approach to therapy, meaning I focus not only on the difficulties you're facing, but also on the resilience, insight, and abilities you already bring into the room. Together, we build on those strengths to foster growth, healing, and meaningful change. My work is grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection. I prioritize developing a genuine, trusting therapeutic relationship where clients feel safe to explore their experiences at their own pace. I meet you where you are at! As someone who is half Turkish, I also value cultural identity, background, and lived experiences as essential parts of the therapeutic process. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply seeking greater self-understanding, therapy can be a place to find that and I would be honored to support you in that.

I believe therapy is a space for growth and change that can lead to stronger relationships, healthier ways of functioning, and a deeper sense of well-being. In our work together, I’ll bring empathy, respect, and genuine care. My role is to support you in becoming more self-aware and confident, while helping you make the changes you want to see in your life. To me, therapy is a collaborative process. I’m not here to "fix" you, but to walk alongside you as a guide, a support, and sometimes just a steady presence while you navigate life’s challenges. I truly believe that everyone has the ability to grow and the responsibility to pursue that growth when they’re ready. I also believe our relationships with family, partners, friends, or chosen community play a huge role in our overall well-being. When those connections feel off or strained, it can affect so many other areas of life. Whether we're working one-on-one, with a couple, or with a family, I take a systemic approach to understand the bigger picture and help shift patterns that may be keeping you stuck. And I know that therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. We’ll work together to find what feels right for you. Most importantly, I’ll offer a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly heard. From the outside, you have it all together, but on the inside you feel disconnected. A gap between the life you’re living and the person you want to be. This disconnection is often a way our mind and body protect us, but overtime it leaves us feeling stuck or empty, in a cycle of doing rather than being. Whether we are navigating relationship concerns or echoes from the past, my focus is meeting you where you are. I work with individuals and couples to peel back these layers and rebuild trust and safety within yourself and others. Together, we work on understanding, untangling, and exploring emotions, behaviors, and past experiences and how they shape you, your world, and your relationships. We create trust and connection within yourself. It isn’t about control or correction. It’s about empowering you with the clarity and trust needed to meet challenges from a place true to you. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental environment that welcomes all orientations, relationships, and lifestyles. My counseling style is warm, collaborative, and unique to you. You are not alone, when you're ready, I'm here. If you'd like to learn more, reach out for a free consultation. I'd love to work with you. Email is the best way to get in touch.

In-network telehealth psychiatry for Kansas and Texas. Many of the students I work with are navigating big life changes, academic pressure, and the challenges of balancing school with everything else in life. You might be feeling stressed, anxious, unfocused, down, or just “off” and not like yourself. Some students come to me because they’re struggling to manage ADHD symptoms, experiencing depression or anxiety, or coping with grief and loss. Others simply know they’re not feeling their best and want support before things get worse. If you’re looking for someone who listens without judgment, helps you make sense of what you’re going through, and works with you to create a plan that fits your life, we may be a great match. Together, we can find strategies—whether through medication, lifestyle changes, or both—to help you feel more focused, balanced, and confident in yourself.
