Hi there! My name is Lizzy, and I’m so glad you’re here. As a Highly Sensitive Person, I’m passionate about working with individuals who feel things deeply—those who are attuned to their environments, sensitive to others’ emotions, and sometimes struggle to regulate their own big feelings. I also support people who experience anxiety, including situational anxiety. Maybe you don’t feel anxious all the time, but you notice it spiking in certain situations—like when meeting new people, navigating your romantic life, or worrying about failing or disappointing others. I have extensive experience working with individuals whose brains are still developing their emotional regulation skills, and I truly love what I do. This work not only helps me continue to grow as a professional, but also supports others in building resilience, self-awareness, and authenticity.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I collaborate with adult patients to address mental health issues with and without medications. My diverse bedside experience spans oncology, perinatal, hospice, psychiatric, and military veteran populations, allowing me to help optimize your quality of life. That collaboration is grounded in compassion and open-mindedness, which allow me to be a patient-centered team member for you. I recognize that I specialize in one piece of your life, but the rest of the pieces are equally important to reaching our mutual goals for optimal mental health. While I specialize in medication management, I recognize this is only part of the picture, so your care is holistic, collaborative, and built around you. I explore both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic options, making sure you have every piece of information you need to protect your safety and your quality of life along the way. Mind, body, and spirit all factor into how I think about treatment, because you're a whole person walking through this, not a symptom list. That whole-person lens shapes what our work together looks like day to day. Expect an open-minded and patient-centered space where Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques give us a supportive structure to build on. Your lived experience, mental health goals, and physical health goals shape your c are, because your path here is yours. My path to becoming a mental health nurse practitioner began with my own journey through healthcare as a bedside nurse. Along the way, I gained deep and meaningful perspectives helping people through the most vulnerable, life-changing moments, from birth to death and everything in between, moments that can feel terrifying but can be transformed into meaningful ones with the right support and listening. My own mother is a counselor, which gave me a promising view of the changes that can be made when people are given mental health support. Therapy was part of my path too, allowing me to reflect on and review my attachments, creating space for the big, interesting life I always wanted to have. These experiences emphasized to me the importance of processing our experiences, which is now more imperative than ever given how fast life can change. Healing to build resilience in the face of stress means you can be present for your life, your family, and yourself. I love to dance, do yoga, and hike, and always make time to hang out with my cat. Watercolor painting is another favorite of mine, and I'm the first to say yes to a themed party. I'm also a self-proclaimed movie buff — movies, movies, movies! — and I love cheering on my nephew whenever he's playing a sport.

I believe in a holistic approach where mind, body, emotion and spiritual life is all taken into account. Hello! My name is Megan McConnell and I am the owner and therapist of Inner Abundance Counseling based in Denver, CO. My clients come from a variety of backgrounds and circumstances, but are united by the feeling that they are not yet living their best, most fulfilling lives. They feel blocked from accessing the joy, connection, and sense of purpose they desire by issues like past traumas, anxiety, depression, and perfectionism. They want to be their authentic selves and live each day with intention, but need some help figuring out how best to do so. I have 6+ years of experience and have helped hundreds of clients like you achieve their goals. I aim to understand each of my clients as the unique individuals that they are, and if we work together I will customize my treatment approach according to what will best serve your needs. I balance compassion and validation of your experiences with direct feedback that will help you recognize and take advantage of opportunities for growth. We will know therapy is working when you start to feel more present, grounded, and content, and are able to show up to your work, relationships, and play in all the ways you value.

I am a Clinical Social Worker and therapist specializing in trauma, attachment, identity, and LGBTQIA+ issues for adults. With nearly four years of experience in both higher levels of care and outpatient settings, I work with adults of all backgrounds to help you build a more compassionate and full view of yourself so you can face life's challenges more effectively. I believe collaboration is the foundation of healing. This is your treatment and your therapy, and it should be approached in a way that truly works for you. I look forward to finding that healing and a new sense of self together with you. You have the right to self-determination, and my approach centers on collaboration and empowerment to help you achieve just that. As the expert in your own life, what often helps most is seeing things from a different perspective. I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems, and narrative therapy, adjusting my approach based on your current needs rather than following one rigid method. My style balances honesty and directness with compassion and gentleness, and I'm always willing to adjust and regularly check in on how I can be most effective for you. My path to becoming a therapist began with my own journey of seeking to answer questions about who I am and whether I could actually heal. Approaching myself with both honesty and love, I've found, is the path to both of those things. I hope to help you find yourself in new and exciting ways, too. I love sketching and playing guitar, and singing is a big part of my life. I also enjoy hiking, thrift shopping, and dancing.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who works with adolescents and young adults to help them better navigate their daily lives and struggles through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy and other modalities to live a life of VITALity. Experienced I have worked in community mental health and crisis services for over eight years supporting a diverse group of clients experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. Over the years, I have realized that I enjoy working with adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, suicide, crises, trauma, and phobias. Flexible My approach to therapy is warm and inviting. I always focus on building rapport from the start, as having a strong therapeutic relationship is essential to making progress in therapy. I strive to maintain flexibility during sessions in order to meet you where you are at, offering both a person-centered approach along with more directive, guiding modalities through cognitive behavioral therapy. Whatever you're hoping to get out of therapy, I'll be there to help you reach your goals.
At Arvada Therapy Solutions, we specialize in helping students in higher education navigate the unique challenges of rigorous academic programs and high-pressure environments. Whether you're dealing with social or performance anxiety, balancing demanding coursework, or managing the stress of family and parenting responsibilities, we're here to support you. Our strengths-based approach focuses on building resilience, enhancing your natural abilities, and equipping you with practical strategies to thrive in both school and life. We also offer specialized support for children, making it easier to prioritize your family’s well-being while pursuing your goals.
Do you feel worried or insecure, overwhelmed or numb? Do you feel scared or anxious about social interactions or events happening in the world? Are you struggling to feel able to navigate transitions and stressors that you are facing in life and school? I want you to know that you are not alone in how you are feeling and that I genuinely believe you can find connection, calm, and confidence through engaging in therapy. I also want you to know that I have faced similar challenges to the ones above and have found great healing through interventions that I offer in my therapy practice. My approach in therapy is to constantly be aware of the "whole picture" that impacts each person (oppressive systems, laws, history, world events, family systems, education systems, and relational interactions) while also focusing on the "here and now" of what you are experiencing. The majority of sessions with me are outdoors, in public parks and on trails, to encourage re-connecting to yourself and to the natural world. I also offer sessions indoors and online when the weather does not allow us to be outdoors safely. I am an active participant in each session, whether I am listening, guiding a mindfulness or experiential activity, or being with you in the emotions and experiences that are coming up. My hope is that through our work together, you will be able to re-connect to yourself, find grounding and a sense of peace by connecting to nature, and learn concrete tools and practices that help make navigating daily life more manageable. I recognize that this work can be difficult, takes time, and does not have a clear map. I believe in walking through the journey together, wherever it may lead, with curiosity and empathy along the way.

I'm passionate about walking alongside people who have a sense that, "Maybe, just maybe, it doesn't have to always be this way." Perhaps you're feeling stuck in the same relational dynamics, holding beliefs and ideas about yourself, others, and the world that no longer seem helpful, or wanting to figure out what it might look like to be a more healthy, whole, and honest person. Many of us often have a desire for life to look different, but we might not be sure how to get there. I view therapy as a process that can help us discover more about where we've been, who we are becoming, and how we want to live. I have extensive experience treating anxiety, panic, depression, shame, acute and complex trauma, and working with people seeking to heal from family wounds, relational patterns & distress and religious & spiritual harm. I help people set boundaries in line with their values, find greater safety with themselves, and practice new ways of being. I have pursued training in many areas such as addiction, neurobiology and anxiety, attachment, complex trauma, and EMDR. I’m queer, and I work significantly with the LGBTQ+ community and am affirming of all orientations and identities. I'd love to talk with you further in a free 15-minute phone consultation!

Experienced in treating a wide range of mental health conditions, I am passionate about helping patients improve their overall well-being and quality of life. I have more than 15 years’ expertise in various settings and roles, helping adults navigate struggles with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, PTSD, postpartum and related women's mental health issues, grief, and schizophrenia. I value a collaborative approach to treatment, working closely with you and partnering with medical and mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive, individualized care. Improving lives with mental health care begins through collaborative care. That’s why I empower you to take an active role in your treatment, emphasizing education, shared decision-making, and the use of evidence-based practices for diagnosis and treatment. I believe that medication is most effective when paired with therapy, healthy coping strategies, and supportive interventions, so I utilize all approaches to help you achieve your healing needs and goals. Mental health has always been a part of my life. My father worked in mental health as an Occupational Therapist, and my mother was considered a specialist in Autism, ADHD, and IDD as an Occupational Therapist. When I was 9, my brother entered the world with neurodivergence, and I had to adapt and learn quickly to support him. These lifelong experiences led me to become an advocate for patients, driving me to work collaboratively with them, treat holistically, and provide education. Outside of clinical work, I enjoy attending comic conventions, exploring new experiences with my two young children, 3-D printing projects with my husband, thrifting, collecting crystals and minerals, and crafting.
Thank you so much for taking the time to explore my practice. My emphasis is on young adults who struggle with social, emotional, behavioral difficulties and relationship issues. These struggles include depression, low self-esteem, self-injury, anxiety, peer pressure, family difficulties, friend and peer difficulties, bullying, substance use, or academic achievement challenges. I also enjoy working with student athletes. I am committed to creating a safe and comfortable environment without judgment or assumption. My relaxed and inviting approach allows me to focus on my clients current needs and create realistic goals. I strive to ensure you are getting what you need out of our time together.
Do you feel overwhelmed, stuck in unhelpful patterns, or impacted by past experiences or family dynamics? Are you seeking emotional safety, clarity, and practical tools to strengthen relationships, manage stress, build resilience, and move through life transitions with greater confidence, connection, and self-compassion? As a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC), I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families navigating trauma, anxiety, developmental disorders, and relational challenges. I’m passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where you feel empowered to heal, build resilience, and show up as your authentic self. Reaching out for support is a meaningful first step, and I look forward to working together to help you feel understood and inspired as you move toward meaningful change. I believe in honoring each person’s unique experiences, which allows me to be a thoughtful and supportive partner while ensuring a warm, welcoming environment where you can be yourself. My style is collaborative and genuine, and tailored to your unique needs, goals, and life experiences. This patient-centered, strength-based, and trauma-informed approach helps you feel safe, understood, and empowered. While therapy can be deep and transformative, I also value authenticity and humor as meaningful parts of the healing process. I’ve always believed in approaching therapy through a trauma-informed lens, honoring every person’s story and pace, allowing me to better create a welcoming, collaborative space where individuals feel safe, supported, and encouraged to show up as their true selves. Outside of therapy, I enjoy cooking and baking; getting outside to hike, run, or ski; and catching live music when I can. I also love spending time with friends and making space for the people and activities that help me feel connected, grounded, and recharged.
