I'm an LGBTQIA+, anxiety, and trauma therapist, working with students across Colorado. Do you feel weighed down by anxiety, trauma, identity struggles, or the lasting impact of religious harm? Many of my clients are LGBTQIA+ adults or survivors of religious trauma who carry exhaustion, dread, and fear from living in systems that questioned, silenced, or shamed who they are. Clients also come to me with anxiety, which often shows up as hypervigilance, burnout, or the ache of feeling like you're not enough. You may long for healing and the freedom to be fully yourself. You are not alone, healing is possible, and your story matters. I provide affirming, trauma-informed therapy rooted in narrative, somatic, and liberation-focused practices. Together we’ll untangle harmful messages that have shaped you, teach your body to feel safe, calm your nervous system, and re-author the stories holding you back. You'll reclaim your identity while moving toward a more authentic and empowered life. As a queer-affirming, feminist, and anti-oppressive therapist, I offer care that is tender, respectful, and at the right pace for you. Whether you’re healing from trauma, recovering from a harmful spiritual background, or seeking growth beyond anxiety or hard life transitions, I'll walk with you in it. Click on my website, email me, or call/text (719)-626-1427 to learn more.

Are you stressed out and overwhelmed? Losing sight of your goals? Are 'old issues' getting in the way of moving forward? I care about "what happened to you" and I strive to provide a supportive space for you to share your concerns. Effective work can result in your improved ability to function and to pursue your best life. I offer acceptance without judgment, practical tools, constructive education and a conviction that you are capable! I do accept some insurance (Aetna and United Health) via Alma. Please contact me and I can walk you through the simple process. My approach is wellness-focused and is best suited for those who are not in crisis and who are ready to engage in deeper work. Developing increased self-compassion, radical acceptance and understanding about how we humans use self-blame to survive can help you move beyond the effects of trauma. I have a special interest in supporting persons who have been members of cults or high-control groups. These may be religious, psychological, treatment oriented or other. I offer online sessions via Zoom and some flexibility in my schedule (other than what is posted).

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with nearly 15 years of experience and I’m passionate about partnering with individuals on their journey toward improved health and well-being. As a health psychologist, I’ve had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life as they navigate the challenges that often accompany mental and physical health concerns. Currently, I specialize in supporting adolescents and adults dealing with stress, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and other health-related issues. A bit about my approach to therapy: I believe therapy is a deeply personal experience, and it’s essential to understand and support the whole person. It’s important to me that every individual feels respected, heard, and that the goals we work toward in therapy are collaborative and meaningful. My hope is that each person feels supported as they make progress toward their goals and gain tools they can carry with them outside of therapy.

My philosophy of counseling is based on the belief that you possess the power to change, and that my role is to help you become aware of how to understand and utilize that power. My goal is to first listen and fully understand your need(s). After that, I will work side by side with you to develop the insights, tools and skills necessary for you to achieve the goals and changes you are seeking to make. I may draw upon various approaches, including Grief Centered Therapy, Person-Centered, Solution Focused Brief Practice, Emotion Focused and CBT. My hope is that our sessions will help you to feel empowered to challenge your internal thinking process to create positive change in your life. I believe these approaches will help to bring about effective long-term results, by helping you to discover how to utilize your own inner strengths and gifts. You are invited to, at any time, ask questions about what we are doing and the reasons for the interventions. This is your process and investment. Please contact me for a free consultation.

College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. You may be balancing classes, work, relationships, family expectations, finances, or trying to figure out who you are and what comes next. If you're feeling anxious, emotionally drained, stuck, or carrying the weight of everything on your own, you're not alone. ICS Therapy provides telehealth services for individuals living in Texas, Colorado, and Florida. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, process what you're experiencing, and build practical tools to navigate life's challenges with greater confidence. I enjoy working with college students who are managing anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, trauma, self-esteem, burnout, and the pressures of trying to meet everyone's expectations. As a military spouse, former military child, and mother of four, I understand how major life changes, uncertainty, and balancing multiple roles can impact your emotional well-being. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your unique experiences and goals. Together, we'll help you better understand yourself, strengthen healthy coping skills, and create meaningful, lasting change. Whether this is your first time considering therapy or you're returning after taking a break, you deserve a space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. My approach to mental health counseling and high performance psychology does not focus simply on getting rid of challenges and difficulty, but rather aspires to honor what is good and right about you, and what makes each day worth living according to your beliefs, identities, values, and enriching relationships. Ultimately, I hope to help students like you move towards empowering the identities and values most important to you, building enriching relationships, and thriving in your chosen passions. I offer in person services in Lawrence, KS, and telehealth services across 42 states (https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap). I have extensive experience and passion working with undergraduate and graduate students, including student-athletes, and students who identify as autistic and/or have been diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. My aim is to provide a space that invites exploration of challenging yet vital places of growth in the service of what is most important to you in your life and performance space. In particular, I love supporting students' resilience to shame ("not enoughness"), self-criticism, pressure to be perfect, social and performance anxiety, body image concerns, grief and loss, panic, and trauma. At my core, I am inspired by feminist and multicultural approaches to healing that seek to interrupt systems of oppression that impact you. From that core, I use trauma-informed, evidence-based methods like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and self-compassion to support you in taking action towards what matters even in the presence of challenge. Finding a good fit is so vital to your counseling or sport psychology wants, and can be such an emotionally taxing journey. After an initial meeting, if you don't feel there is a great fit between us, I will work hard to connect you to people who may be a better fit for you. Let's make this process as stress-free and successful for your needs as we can.

With a background in social work and a deep commitment to trauma-informed care, I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and adults as they navigate trauma, anxiety, emotional challenges, and life transitions. Whatever you're working through, my goal is to help you feel genuinely understood, build on the strengths you already carry, and move toward lasting healing and emotional well-being. Compassion and collaboration are at the heart of how I work. Every person brings with them a unique story, and I look forward to hearing yours as a supportive partner in the healing process. My style is trauma-informed, collaborative, and nonjudgmental — and the environment I create reflects that. Helping you build confidence and emotional regulation skills within a space that feels genuinely safe and empowering is what I'm most passionate about. Treatment is always tailored to your unique needs and goal. Using trauma-focused and strengths-based approaches, I work with you to build coping skills, process difficult emotions, and feel more at home in yourself. My path to becoming a therapist began in the behavioral health field, working directly with children and teens. This role quickly taught me the importance of building strong, supportive relationships, and how those relationships could change the trajectory of a young person's healing. Watching patients develop coping skills and emotional regulation tools they'd carry with them long after our sessions, I knew this was the work I was meant to do. From there, I moved into trauma-focused therapy with children and adolescents and haven't looked back since. Those years deepened my commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care, and reinforced my belief that every person, regardless of age or circumstance, has an innate ability to grow. That conviction, along with empathy and patience, is something I bring to every session we share. In my free time, I enjoy reading, journaling and solo traveling. I find that I am my happiest when I am surrounded by mountains and close to a good coffee shop!

I am originally from California, but have called Colorado (Denver) my home for the last thirteen years. While I do miss the ocean, I love being in the mountains and all they have to offer. When I am not working, I am often playing in my garden, doing something in the kitchen, spending time with friends and family, or traveling. I am the same person during session as I am outside of session; laid back, a little goofy, genuinely curious about others’ lives, and compassionate. I use she/her pronouns. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and am licensed to see clients in Colorado, Indiana, Florida and Nevada. I have been practicing therapy since 2013 and truly enjoy working with my clients. I love learning about how trauma and stress can impact our minds, bodies and nervous systems and the ways we can heal and start to feel better. I am a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist as well as a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP). I often use a mixture of EMDR, Somatic Experiencing (SE), attachment, parts focused, and mindfulness techniques to help clients begin to unpack stressful or traumatic events and begin to integrate a sense of healing back into their minds and bodies. These techniques can be helpful for clients struggling with anxiety and depression symptoms, who have experienced one or more traumatic events, substance use, emotion regulation, or uncomfortable body sensations.
