I am a licensed marriage and family therapist and enjoy working with couples and individuals on relationship and other issues such as communication, conflict resolution, self-esteem, anxiety, stress, grief, anger management and depression. I have years of experience at various clinical settings. Other than my outpatient therapy work, I have an extensive experience providing wraparound service for families with children who have severe emotional and behavioral needs. I have worked for Elder Protective Services with elders who are neglected and abused. I have also provided psychiatric evaluation at emergency services and home-based family stabilization work for families with children who are in psychiatric crisis. I am flexible in using different therapeutic approaches to meet my clients' needs and styles. I believe a safe, supportive and respectful environment is important in the therapeutic process and hope to bring healing, transformation and growth throughout the course of therapy. I accept most insurances and have daytime and evening hours. I am bilingual in Cantonese and English and enjoy working with people from different cultural & ethnic backgrounds. I provide only telehealth sessions at this time. Please let me know what you want to work on and your insurance name if you are interested in services. If there is any crisis or emergency, please call 911 or use your local emergency room.
For many of us, perhaps adolescents and young adults in particular, the process of figuring "it" out is an elusive to-do swashing in the waves of life's stressors. I have worked with adolescents and young adults for over a decade; sharing in their challenges, connecting in laughter and in story. My hope is to help you, your child, or your loved one, navigate life’s waves with dignity. Feel free to contact me for a chat, we can go from there.
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Licensed Board Certified Behavior Analyst who specializes in depression, anxiety, stress-management, family issues, co-dependency, self-esteem, executive functioning, anger management and Asperger’s/High Functioning Autism. I provide compassionate therapy with an integrative approach utilizing research-based techniques and tools that lead to positive changes. My belief is in the therapy process being collaborative between therapist and client. I look forward to connecting with you and helping you lead a more joy and purpose-filled life.
I have a collaborative approach to therapy, using principles of self-compassion, cognitive reframing, identity exploration, and mindfulness throughout my work. In therapy, we will work towards self-awareness, create concrete action steps for emotional, cognitive, and behavioral change, and reduce the power of the internal critic. I have worked for over 9 years in college counseling. I have specialized in trauma-informed care, EMDR, dialectical behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy. I enjoy working with individuals who identify as BIPOC, LGBQIA+, nonbinary, and first gen. I have also worked closely with the Tufts University Asian American Center, collaborating on programming and training to reduce the stigma associated with accessing mental health support.

Perhaps you’ve been feeling overwhelmed recently. Or you’re struggling with constant worry and stress. Being a young woman and trying to find your way into adulthood is not an easy path. Anxiety is a common feeling during this time, and a natural human emotion, but too much of it can prevent us from leading the life we want. We all go through difficult times, and sometimes we need a little extra support to see our way through. I view my role as a therapist as a supportive and encouraging guide. Together we’ll explore unhelpful thoughts and patterns getting in the way of you becoming the woman you want to be.
Offering TeleHealth & Accepting New Clients! Dr. Kurtz is a board certified clinical neuropsychologist who provides comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations for adults. She specializes in the assessment of cognitive and behavioral changes associated with a wide range of neurological and medical disorders, including traumatic brain injury and stroke. Dr. Kurtz also has extensive experience evaluating individuals with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities, and psychiatric disorders. Dr. Kurtz’s evaluations are comprised of comprehensive interviews, as well as cognitive and psychological testing, which are integrated to form diagnostic conclusions and practical, detailed recommendations. Each assessment includes a follow-up session where this information is reviewed in detail and any additional questions or concerns are addressed. The goal of these evaluations is to provide each patient with information regarding personal strengths and weaknesses and to help develop ways to enhance daily functioning. Dr. Kurtz earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. She completed both her clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Maryland Health Care System with specialized training in clinical neuropsychology. Prior to joining CPA, Dr. Kurtz spent several years working as a neuropsychologist at the prestigious MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington, DC.
I am a registered dietitian dedicated to helping neurodivergent adults fuel themselves and their lives. From my lived experience and time working with 1000s of clients at my position at a local teaching hospital, I understand how hard it can be to feed ourselves. I am passionate about debunking nutrition myths, sharing nutrition facts and creating meal prep strategies to help balance mood and energy. It is my joy to do this all through the lens of intuitive eating, Health at Every Size (HEAS®) and gentle nutrition. Even if you do not identify as neurodivergent, anyone is welcome!
I am a board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Thoughtful Psychiatry, P.C. I provide psychotherapy and medication management for children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of stress related conditions. As therapist and prescriber, I try to pave the way for my clients to tell their stories and feel truly understood. I strive to provide a safe environment that allows for self-expression. While diagnosis can be helpful, I believe that each individual enters treatment with a unique set of circumstances, and that it is important to focus on the needs of each individual rather than focus only on his or her symptoms. I am interested in treating patients with all types of conditions, but have a special affinity for working with clients who suffer from anxiety and trauma-related conditions. Currently, I am accepting clients primarily for medication management. Clients seeking medication management should have a therapist in place.
Are you tired of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like you have to “keep it together” all the time? I support individuals who are often high-achieving or driven but find themselves feeling disconnected, exhausted, or unsure of how to move forward, especially during times of transition or uncertainty. As a Mental Health Clinician with a specialization in Sport Psychology from Boston University, I bring both lived experience and clinical training into the therapeutic space. My work is grounded in supporting clients as they reconnect with themselves, navigate pressure, and move toward meaningful growth and healing. I tailor our work to honor the complexity of who you are, including your identities, experiences, and the systems that shape you. As a bi-racial woman, I understand how traditional models of therapy can overlook marginalized voices. I strive to create a space where you feel seen, respected, and safe enough to explore, grow, and heal at your own pace. Whether you’re exploring identity, managing stress, processing past experiences, or simply seeking a space to rest and reflect, therapy can be a powerful step toward healing. Together, we’ll explore what growth looks like for you.

Hello, and welcome. My name is Kathleen McGah and I offer a comfortable, confidential space for teens, college-age students and young adults to talk about whatever is on their mind, at one's own pace, and without judgment. When people have a safe place to practice putting thoughts and feelings into words, they find they grow psychologically stronger over time - and more satisfied with various aspects of life. I have worked with many students who, initially, have been hesitant to talk with a professional. (Even if one has had a counseling experience in the past, it can still be difficult to start with a new therapist.) It makes sense if you have some hesitation about taking this step. Only you will know if you are ready. If you have been struggling and think it would be good to meet with a therapist, though, please reach out.
