Danielle Pace
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with advanced training at McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School affiliate, in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and mentalization-based therapy (MBT). I specialize in working with adolescents, adults, and families navigating anxiety, emotion regulation difficulties, relationship and interpersonal challenges, self-esteem concerns, and recurring patterns of coping or behavior. My approach combines evidence-based behavioral strategies with relational and insight-oriented therapy. I draw from DBT, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), MBT, and psychodynamic therapy to help clients better understand the patterns underlying their difficulties while developing practical skills to respond differently. I aim to create a collaborative, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel understood and supported while also being challenged to make meaningful changes in their lives and relationships. College life can be exciting—and overwhelming. Between classes, relationships, family expectations, and figuring out who you are and where you’re headed, it’s easy to feel stressed, stuck, or unsure. My approach to therapy starts with really listening and working together, so you feel understood and supported from the beginning. In our first few sessions, we’ll talk about what’s been tough lately, what you want to change, and what might be getting in the way. Therapy isn’t about having all the answers right away—it’s about creating a space where you can explore, reflect, and grow at your own pace. I tailor therapy to each person, drawing from different approaches based on what works best for you. Whether you’re dealing with stress or anxiety, feeling down, struggling with relationships (romantic, friendships, or family), managing academics and time, adjusting to a big life transition, or trying to understand patterns that keep showing up, we’ll work together to help you build skills and tap into strengths you already have. I have over 20 years of experience working with college students and young adults, including more than 15 years in university counseling centers. I’ve supported students with anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship concerns, identity exploration, and cross‑cultural challenges. I also have extensive experience working with international students and students from diverse backgrounds. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected as you navigate this stage of your life.

Marianne Cook, EdD, LICSW
I help college students, graduate students, and university faculty manage stress, cope with painful emotions, and navigate school, work, and relationships. Higher education offers a huge opportunity for growth and self-discovery, but it also presents unique stressors and challenges. In addition to treating anxiety and depression, I work regularly with issues of perfectionism, peer comparison, academic pressure, and burnout. I also help clients build healthy friendships and partnerships, explore identity issues, adjust to new situations and life phases, and examine possible career directions. I believe that great therapy is tailored to meet clients’ needs and goals, so I integrate a variety of approaches into my work, including insight-oriented methods, mindfulness practices, and cognitive behavioral techniques. Depending on what a client brings to each session, we might work on specific tools to address a current problem, examine the origins of a long-standing pattern, or explore some of life’s biggest questions together. I believe in the inherent resiliency of my clients, and I empower them to tap into their inner strengths and resources. At the foundation of my practice is always the relationship with my clients, which is built on mutual trust and active collaboration. My professional training includes degrees in Psychology (BA, Harvard University), Social Work (MSW, University of Chicago), and Higher Education (EdD, Northeastern University), along with experience in university counseling, academic and career advising, community mental health, and international education. Clients describe me as authentic, attentive, compassionate, and dedicated. While I am not in-network for any insurance providers, many university students have out-of-network benefits that they can use to seek insurance reimbursement for our sessions. I am happy to assist clients in this process. Please visit my website for more information. I am based in Cambridge MA and licensed across MA, NY, DC, and CT.

I’ve been part of the Harvard Medical School system for over a decade, first as a trainee, now as faculty member. I'm trained primarily in psychodynamic therapy, but principles/interventions from other paradigms also inform my work, and I love working with students. Ultimately, the nature of therapy depends on the patient, what they are up against, and their goals. For this reason, the course of therapy is difficult to describe, but surely only ever works in a context of empathy & respect, not to mention humor (sometimes life can only be laughed at). This is a perspective I lay out in some detail in a recently published, two-volume book, titled, "A Humane Vision of Clinical Psychology." I'm a good fit for someone looking to understand and change established patterns, and to find relief from associated symptoms. Currently, I am contracted with the student insurances at Tufts and Boston College, which make sessions very inexpensive for students. I am licensed in Massachusetts, New York, Colorado, Vermont, and Connecticut. Very happy to arrange telehealth sessions for students in any of those states.

"I'm a LICSW with 38 years of experience working in a variety of clinical settings. Most recently, I was a member of the senior clinical staff at the Counseling and Mental Health Service of Harvard University where I worked for 14 years. I have treated students from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. I've received training in Motivational Interviewing, DBT and am an instructor in Koru Mindfulness. I also offer tele-therapy sessions for those interested. Clients come to me for consultation and support around a wide variety of life issues and struggles, including loss and trauma, significant life transitions, and help with managing depression and anxiety. Still, others come with a desire to improve their self-awareness, their perspective regarding their life path, or to strengthen their life skills. My work is informed by an eclectic mix of treatment models; psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, DBT and Motivational Interviewing. I also teach Mindfulness Practices as an effective tool to strengthen perspective and build resiliency
