Hi! Welcome and thank you for starting your journey. I am an empathetic, compassionate and thoughtful therapist. I seek to establish a warm and caring relationship with clients in order to empower them and help them grow from the experiences they face. I will partner with you in building on your strengths in order to meet your goals and live the meaningful life you value and desire. I love working with young adults (ages 20-35) addressing life stressors, relationship issues, family tensions and the ongoing stress of life transitions during this time period of life.
You often wish you felt better about yourself, didn't get so easily overwhelmed, and could handle conflict but aren’t even sure where to start. You’ve found yourself questioning if you should talk to someone. You’ve come to the right place! College life is full of changes and challenges. Even if they are good, changes can sometimes be more than we have bargained for and create a lot of stress and anxiety. Through their work with me, my clients have experienced feeling less overwhelmed by emotions, found effective ways to handle conflict with others (like roommates and partners), felt more connected/present, and gained more confidence in themselves. My clients describe me as welcoming, witty, direct, knowledgeable, and relatable. My style of therapy is very collaborative and conversational as I share tools that you can use in between our sessions. You can reduce the amount of anxiety you experience. At the very least, I can help you manage it in a different way that is less disruptive to you, your relationships, and achieving what you want to in school.
I am goal-oriented therapist dedicated to creating a warm, welcoming space for transformative healing. By blending innovate and traditional methods with a holistic perspective. I help you navigate your journey with intention. I believe inspiration everywhere, so don’t be surprised if I recommend a podcast, book, or song to help you, us explore your story further. Occupational therapy: Occupational therapists (OTs) work with individuals to engage in their meaningful activities. These activities can include self-care, leisure and social participation, work, school, household management, and other responsibilities. OTs provide interventions focused on skill-building, as well as finding environmental and activity adaptations, to best support an individual’s occupational engagement. Our practice focuses on supporting clients with routine and responsibility management, coping with stress and emotions, leisure and social engagement, and life skills/transition to adulthood. We work with youth (16+) and adults managing mental health conditions, executive functioning difficulties, and challenges navigating one’s daily life.
I work with adults of all backgrounds who experience issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, complex trauma, and grief, as well as concerns related to self-esteem, identity, and relationships. Therapy can be a way to deepen your understanding of your challenges so you can experience more clarity and connection in your life. I am particularly passionate about longer-term, depth-oriented work that supports clients in building understanding and empathy with themselves in order to move towards a life they feel good about. My approach to therapy is warm and informed by psychodynamic, attachment, relational, and trauma principles. I am also training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma treatment. I believe in showing up exactly as you are on any given day, the power of humor, and working collaboratively in the therapy space. I have deep respect for the lived experiences and wisdom of each person, understanding that everyone is navigating a world with joys, pain, and sorrows that can be difficult to face alone. I am interested in exploring how mental health, relationships, and trauma are connected to/impacted by systemic issues including racism, classism, and ableism.
Navigating challenges in our daily lives can seem overwhelming especially when dealing with the echoes of past trauma. Seeking support is a courageous step, and you don’t have to face this journey alone.

I am a Harvard-trained, Harvard-affiliated, board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist. I strongly believe that the best psychiatric care is centered on the whole person, not just on a diagnosis or a specific medication. I provide weekly therapy and work with patients to determine if medications can be of help. I do not believe that everyone needs a medication, but they can be useful in treating particular psychiatric symptoms; I will work with you in order to find the best treatment modality that meets your goals and needs. My training in psychotherapy includes psychodynamic psychotherapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), Exposure/Response Prevention (Ex/RP) and Prolonged Exposure (PE). I provide psychotherapy for children, adolescents, adults, couples and families. In order to offer comprehensive treatment, I do not accept insurance in my private practice. I am currently conducting sessions via telemedicine only. Please feel free to send me an email to set up a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation so I can answer any questions and see if I can be of help.
