Hello and welcome! I am a psychotherapist licensed in New York and Massachusetts with over ten years of experience in NYC. I graduated with my Masters in Social Work from New York University and Bachelors in Psychology from The New School. As a therapist specializing in psychodynamic therapy, I provide a warm and nonjudgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and past experiences openly to gain a deeper understanding of your inner world. Speaking freely in therapy fosters an environment where new thoughts can emerge, leading to transformative change and personal growth. I have experience supporting clients through a wide range of issues, including depression, grief, self-esteem, trauma, anxiety, OCD, relationship dynamics, and life transitions. I take an integrative and personalized approach. I believe a positive and supportive relationship with a therapist can help us gain insight, develop self-compassion, and navigate the challenges of life. I provide in-depth talk therapy and integrate techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness practices. I am currently pursuing post-graduate clinical training in Psychoanalysis. During our initial consultation, I will guide you through the process and discuss your hopes for therapy. My goal is to support you in creating an enriching and fulfilling life based on your values. I am a trauma-informed, social justice oriented, and LGBTQIA+ affirming provider.
I've been working with young adults for the better part of the last decade within the context of their homes, schools, communities and families. I have also been supervising young adults as well as older adults in juggling school work and family with their career ambitions. Fostering growth for these folks, including in many marginalized communities is, to me, an incredibly important part of building lives worth living, and growing the strength of our communities. As a white cis-gendered queer therapist I have done my own work on my identity that has allowed me to see and show up for BIPOC and LGBTQ+ folks, as well as supporting other white folks in this work. My practice is rooted in anti-racism, anti-oppression, and health equity. Our mental health is not only our individual biologies and brains, we are shaped by the systems we exist within and this has a direct correlation to our physical well being as well. What you need in therapy may or may not relate to issues of oppression, and it is important for those for whom this is relevant to know there is a space to been seen and acknowledged for the ways this impacts your life. Growth and transitions can be incredible, and also very stressful. If anything you've read here or seen in my profile resonates. I would encourage you to reach out to see if we would be a good fit for the support you are seeking.

Hi there! Currently I'm providing telehealth via a secure, user-friendly and HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. I see many clients who struggle with anxiety and stress-management, relationship concerns, life-stage stressors, and self-worth/self-esteem issues. College is often described as "some of the best years of your life" ....by well-intentioned people who likely have not experienced life as a college student in the 21st century. Many of my college-aged clients come to therapy seeking guidance once the juggling act of friends, dating, family, homework, classes, labs, group projects, extracurricular obligations, etc...starts to become overwhelming, and "me-time" a distant memory. While therapy itself certainly can't remove anything from your plate, it can help you to reconfigure and re-prioritize your life in a way that can bring greater peace of mind, and restore a sense of balance. Feel free to reach out and we'll see if this can be a good fit for your needs! Melissa
I enjoy working with individuals struggling with anxiety/stress, life problems/transitions, self-confidence, or relationship issues, as well as those struggling with or know someone struggling with addiction. I work collaboratively with the client to process feelings and emotions and explore new perspectives. My background is in CBT, but I tend to use a variety of techniques in treatment. I employ a strength based, client centered, perspective to help clients realize their potential and engage clients in finding the answers to reach their goals within themselves.
Pursuing higher education, whether starting college, returning after time away, or continuing into graduate school, can be exciting and rewarding. Yet it can also bring stress, uncertainty, and moments of self-doubt. Balancing academic expectations, relationships, and personal well-being isn’t easy, and many students feel pressure to manage it all on their own. At Christina Cares Counseling, LLC, I offer a compassionate, supportive space for adults navigating the unique challenges of college and graduate life. Together, we can work through anxiety, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, burnout, and the struggle to find balance and direction. I bring over 15 years of experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, independently licensed in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Tennessee. My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, build resilience, and find relief through honest conversation, understanding, and practical tools for growth. I also accept several insurance plans through Headway to make it easier to start therapy. These include: • Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Connecticut (in Connecticut) • Quest Behavioral Health (in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Tennessee) • Cigna (in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Tennessee) • Carelon Behavioral Health (in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Tennessee) • Aetna (in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Tennessee) • Ascension (SmartHealth) (in Tennessee) …with more insurance options coming soon. You don’t have to do this alone; healing and change happen through connection, and therapy can be a place to find both.
As a therapist, I come alongside and help you to define your personal goals and develop strategies for the changes you desire. We will work together to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and others. Whether you are looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. Clinical areas of speciality include anxiety, depression, relationships, trauma and life transitions. Please feel free to reach out and I will do my best to meet your scheduling needs.
Liza Gold, LCSW is a NY, MA, and NJ State licensed psychotherapist who specializes in helping young adults. She has extensive clinical training and is certified in Dialectic-Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, (CBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy. Liza does not believe in a “one theory fits all” approach. Instead, she is an integrative and interactive therapist that will work with your specific needs. Liza is known for her challenging, yet supportive and humorous approach. She believes therapy should be rewarding not because it enables a continuation of how life has been, but rather because it inspires gentle challenge and change for the future.
I love clients who are curious about themselves and their relationships and are just looking for a safe place to talk. I bring much the same warmth, humor, and energy to my work that I do to my friendships. I'll remember your birthday and the name of the pet you had growing up, and the fact that you were anxious about that text you got last week. If you're anxious about therapy, or have had a bad experience in the past, that's a great place to start, and if you're ready to dive in, we can do that too.
Do you find yourself stuck, or struggling somehow? I believe that people are doing the best they can, with the experiences and knowledge that they have. Sometimes, however, life throws so much at you that it overwhelms your ability to cope, and you might find yourself on a website like this one, saying, "maybe I need a therapist?" Whether you know exactly what's wrong (like a challenging relationship or choosing a major, or a traumatic experience), or you just have a sense that college somehow isn't what you had in mind (worried, sad, or unfulfilled all the time), then therapy can help. I can help. Please visit my website to find the Matching Questionnaire to get started.
Female-first psychiatric care. If you’re navigating a new season of life—trying to conceive, pregnancy, or perimenopause—or looking for support with treatment of a specific condition such as PMS or PMDD, PCOS, ADHD, depression, or anxiety, I want to offer you the expertise, compassion, and genuine care you deserve. I am a Harvard-trained and board-certified psychiatrist specializing in women's mental health and reproductive psychiatry. I take a conservative approach to medication, taking the time to listen to you and help you make empowered decisions about your mental health. I provide medication management and psychotherapy through a female-first frame: putting you, your needs, and your wellness at the forefront of our work together. I view my work as an opportunity to help women feel seen and supported through the most transformative stages of their lives. I create a positive and empathetic environment where you can feel validated and empowered. My approach is to support you in breaking cycles to create healthier patterns of behavior. Together, we can explore how intergenerational patterns of trauma may inform and repeat in your life and learn how to shift the narrative. I can help in learning techniques for better communication and boundary setting, as well as how to put yourself first. I specialize in trauma-informed care, including complex, childhood, and sexual trauma. I focus on PTSD, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, and gender identity and sexuality. I utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including IFS, psychodynamic, relational therapy, and mindfulness practice.
Do you ever find yourself thinking “How did I get here, and how do I escape this doom loop?" If you see a pattern of feeling overwhelmed, unseen, or misunderstood, you’re not alone. Maybe you’ve forgotten what it feels like to not be exhausted or in survival mode? Healing and peace are within reach, and I can help you find them. Patients say I’ve empowered them to see themselves in a new light, uncovering their strengths and potential. I focus on practical, personalized strategies for meaningful change while doing the "root work" to address underlying issues. Whether it's coping mechanisms or trauma roots, we’ll tackle it together. I specialize in helping people find clarity, control, and lasting peace in life. Sessions with me provide a safe and supportive place to explore, validate, and heal. Whether it's ADHD, trauma, family or relationship issues that brought you here or even all of the above and more, I can guide, support, and show up for you on your journey to the life you deserve. I know managing everything alone can feel overwhelming and that change and healing often seem impossible. But I also know they are within your reach. "Hope" might feel like a scary investment, but it’s one that promises lifetime returns when you commit to the journey. Take the first step and reach out; together, we’ll do the rest.
I help people understand themselves with profound depth, not just with symptom management. If you're ready to look at patterns, relationships, and what keeps you stuck, this work is for you. Can you dream of a life no longer haunted by your past? Are you feeling limited in your relationships? Contemporary psychoanalysis offers a unique space to understand not only what has happened to you, but how your history continues to shape your inner world, often outside of conscious awareness. I help people understand themselves with profound depth; not just with symptom management. If you're ready to look at patterns, relationships, and what keeps you painfully stuck, this work is for you. Therapy is an emancipatory undertaking: the aim is not to help you become better adjusted to what has constrained you, but to help you become less beholden to it in the long run. I bring warmth, candor, and sustained attention to the room. My specialties include contemporary dream interpretation; dissociation; depression; and trauma, in all its forms.

Windhorse Counseling was born out of Alannah DiBona’s passion for transforming the lives of adolescents. After working within the high school system providing transitional support to students, Alannah realized that there were additional needs for her clients beyond what she could provide in the school setting. She built a practice centered on providing supplemental care in a comfortable, safe, and approachable environment. Windhorse Counseling has quickly grown to offer services to individuals, families, and couples from all walks of life. The presence of office dogs, namely Theo the Bloodhound and Milo the Golden Retriever enhances the home-like ambiance and provides therapeutic doses of humor and affection. Windhorse Counseling operates in the beautiful Damon Mill building with the goal of providing a living-room-like environment for clients of all ages to dig deep, connect, and begin the journey of healing. Located on the Assabet River with an abundance of natural greenery and forestry, the office setting is calming and serene. Clients find that the mindfully decorated indoor space and the quiet, natural surroundings set the stage for inner contemplation and interpersonal connection with our acclaimed and accomplished counselors.
