Philadelphia, PA

Hi! I'm Yasmine. I work clinically with adolescents, teenagers, and young adults grappling with issues ranging from anxiety to trauma to cultural identity shifts. Therapy creates a space to better understand ourselves and the way our past impacts our present. In sessions, I work with clients to uncover patterns that contribute to an overall feeling of dissatisfaction in life. This provides the roadmap to help clients build a life that feels full, joyful, and meaningful. Clients tell me that I am warm, non-judgemental, and bring a welcome sense of humor into sessions. Therapy can be hard work. But it is work that I love doing and something that I take very seriously. My practice is informed by my interest in psychology, sociology, anthropology, and feminist studies. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from Brown University and my Master's in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania. In the past decade, I have lived in Senegal, Colombia, the Dominican Republic and Lebanon, and I bring a multicultural perspective into the therapeutic space.

Group practice
New York, NY

Our group psychotherapy practice offers help with anxiety, depression, relationships, sleep (including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia), eating disorders, body image, grief, addiction, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Our clients tend to be people who are successful in many ways and feel overwhelmed, lost, alone, or in need of some self-esteem building. We particularly love working with college students because by nature they are figuring out who they are and want to be, and the work we do together can be such an important and exciting part of that process. We welcome people from all backgrounds and are LGBTQ+-affirming. Please feel free to reach out - we would love to get to know you!

Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Northampton, MA

I have over 21 years experience working with adults with trauma, co-dependency, CPTSD, depression, anxiety, low self esteem and other issues. I combine active listening, creativity, humor, patience and empathy. I am eclectic in my approaches and do not believe therapy is a one size fits all and try to adapt my approaches to the needs of my clients. I believe if I can help you get through the pain and confusion of your feelings, provide tools to teach you how to ground yourself, relax, soothe and regulate your emotions: you may feel much better and more hopeful. I will not just sit and nod my head. We will be a team working together on helping you live your best life

Whether working through anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, or life transitions, I strive to provide insight, encouragement, and practical tools that promote lasting change.

Southwick, MA

Codi is a psychotherapist with experience working working adolescents and adults seeking support managing life changes. Codi practices from a relational, client centered approach. In addition to a B.A. in Feminist and Gender Studies from Colorado College, Codi holds a Masters of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work. They come to APP with previous experience in access to higher education, direct service with incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people, and community mental health. Codi sees therapy as an opportunity for people to sit in the nuance of being human. They are eager to explore the space between therapist and client, centering my work in a psychodynamic approach. Their work is informed by a critical lens that helps clients examine systems and institutions of power and the roles those structure play in our suffering and healing. They are interested in creating a practice that can center the acknowledgment and influence of race, and other identities, in relationship. They hope to hold space for clients to explore, create and recreate themselves.

I've been practicing for 12+ years and in recent years have realized that I love working with individual women 15+yo, so I began catering my practice ONLY to this population! Please check out my website - I hope it will answer many of your questions, but please reach out to me by phone or email with any additional questions. Also, though you can book an appointment directly through my website and I try to keep those options updated, please contact me if you'd like to make an appointment but none of the times listed work for you. My experience on the other side of the 'couch' has shown me that real change is possible when you make your mental health a priority. It takes courage to ask for support, and you don't have to face life's challenges alone. Therapy provides a safe, supportive space for you to share and process what you’ve been carrying. In our sessions, I’ll use strengths-based approaches, insight-building techniques, and various therapeutic modalities to help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and achieve your personal goals. My approach to therapy is both conversational and practical (somewhere in the middle of talking to a friend while also getting concrete techniques and insights). I strive to create a safe environment where your story is valued, and you are treated as the expert of your own lived experiences. I specialize in supporting individuals who have a sense of overwhelm, ruminating thoughts, burnout, lack of motivation, disconnected, feeling hopeless and detached, and life transitions. What You Can Expect: - Problem Solving: We'll focus on addressing the issues causing you the most stress right now. - New Understanding: You'll gain clarity on your symptoms, triggers, and responses, making them less intimidating and more manageable. - Tools and Strategies: You'll learn evidence-based techniques to manage overwhelming thoughts and emotions. - Confidence: You'll recognize your strength in handling anxiety, guilt, and sadness, empowering you to take control. Let's take this step toward self-care—I'm here to help.

I believe that relationships determine a lot about how we interact with the world - in both helpful and less helpful ways. Our behaviors, attitudes, thoughts, feelings, and relationship styles are reinforced over time by our experiences, families, partners, environments, and culture. Psychotherapy can help when stress, trauma, life transitions, or difficult relationships call for new ways of coping and navigating our lives. My approach integrates evidence-based practices shown to be effective including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Family Systems, Attachment Theory, and an Interpersonal Process approach, to provide highly individualized psychotherapy services to my clients. Together, we will work to define your treatment goals and to create new patterns of thinking, feeling, and relating to others and the world around you. This collaborative process will help you feel more connected to your values and to engage more fully in your life.

College students today face so many pressures: family and peer expectations, major life decisions, an onslaught of social media messages, and multiple socio-political crises. Though these problems are daunting, you do not need to face them alone. I would be grateful to accompany you as you respond to the questions and challenges impacting your life. In my work thus far, my clients have often felt a sense of separation or space open up between themselves and their problems. I have helped people feel “known” for who they want to be in life, separate and apart from the influence of depression, anxiety, failure, addiction, conflict, hardship, etc. This gives them more room to explore the forgotten or not-yet-developed stories of their hopes, passions, values, and purposes, which can contribute to a feeling of empowerment in facing whatever difficult experiences brought them to therapy. Though I help people navigate many different kinds of mental and emotional challenges, I have a particular interest in having therapy conversations with folks 1) concerned about the environment, 2) interested in or wondering about their spirituality/ religion, and 3) who identify as men or who are dealing with the effects of patriarchy.
