Therapists for college students near Ann Arbor, MI
Life changes happen to all of us. Sometimes they happen all at once and sometimes they happen over a long period of time. Maybe you've found yourself struggling to adjust to a major life change or maybe you've realized that it's time to talk about issues that have been building over many years. Whatever the case, I believe that now is the just the right time to begin the process of healing, building connection, and living more wholeheartedly. I believe in creating a safe and non-judgmental environment where you can feel free to explore your feelings, take risks, and engage in the hard work it takes to create lasting positive changes. I provide individual counseling to people of all ages, but specialize in working with teenagers and young adults. Taking the first step to create lasting changes can be a very difficult decision. It is an enormous privilege for me to witness the courage of each of my clients as they embark on their own journeys toward more connection, healing, and wholehearted living.
I specialize in adult depth-oriented Relational Psychoanalytic psychotherapy and a highly individualized approach to neuropsychological assessment for ADHD and Autism. As relational beings, we are instinctively wired for connection. It is within the context of relationship that we discover our potential for transformative change. I view therapy as a collaborative process of uncovering this potential by cultivating a deep, trusting relationship that becomes the vehicle for self-exploration and change. As a neurodivergent psychologist, I approach my work with a genuine sense of humility to create a space that is inclusive and affirming to all. I also feel that it is imperative to provide therapy that goes beyond merely treating symptoms. This is why I take a depth-oriented approach in order for us to discover the root causes of suffering, work through barriers, and move toward meaningful, long-lasting life changes. Drawing on a strengths-based approach, I customize my sessions to align with the uniqueness of each client. I believe in the importance of honoring the developmental, biological, sociocultural, and interpersonal parts of yourself to assist in the healing process. Using this comprehensive approach to treatment, I recognize that true well-being encompasses the integration of mental, emotional, and physical aspects of health.
Hi, I’m a Latina Christian therapist, and I work best with students who feel like they’re carrying a lot—whether it’s anxiety, depression, trauma, or just trying to figure out who they are. Many of my clients are first-generation immigrants or come from multicultural backgrounds and are navigating big transitions, like moving away from home, balancing family expectations, or finding their voice in new spaces. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or misunderstood, you're not alone. I use evidence-based approaches like EMDR to help process trauma, DBT and CBT to build practical coping skills, and even animal-assisted therapy for emotional support. I create a space where you can show up as your full self—culturally, spiritually, and emotionally—and be met with care and understanding. If that sounds like what you need, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

I am so honored you found yourself here. I believe therapy works best when you feel deeply understood—not analyzed or rushed. Before I’m a therapist, I’m a human who values gentleness, curiosity, and compassion. It’s truly a privilege to sit with folks as they share their stories, their pain, and hopes for something different. I have a special passion for working with neurodivergent (or “neurospicy”) humans and those whose nervous systems have been shaped by trauma. Therapy with me moves at a pace that honors your body, your boundaries, and your unique way of being in the world. There’s no pressure to perform or “fix” yourself. My work is grounded in experiential and somatic approaches, meaning we don’t just talk about what’s happening—we gently explore how your experiences live in your body, emotions, and relationships. This can be especially powerful for healing complex trauma, navigating chronic pain and reconnecting with parts of yourself that may have learned to stay guarded. If you desire to connect with a therapist that cultivates a safe space for you to explore healing without judgement and approaches your experiences with curiosity and empathy I invite you to this space. As a fellow neurodivergent, chronically ill, queer woman - I understand how exhausting life can be. Let us explore what living authentically means for you.

My approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, and collaborative, grounded in the belief that healing happens through authentic connection and a deep understanding of self. I draw from a variety of modalities to tailor our work to your unique needs, including person-centered therapy, emotionally focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), family systems, attachment theory, and parts work. I also integrate polyvagal-informed practices to support nervous system regulation and emotional resilience. I work with individuals facing a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship issues, parenting, ADHD, autism, and struggles with self-worth. I also support clients exploring spirituality, managing stress, navigating attachment wounds, or untangling patterns of codependency. At the heart of my work is a deep respect for each person’s story. Whether you're seeking to understand yourself more fully, build healthier relationships, or simply need a safe space to process, I’m here to offer support, insight, and genuine curiosity along the way.
My goal for counseling is to provide an open and accepting environment for everyone. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and it's important to feel connected to whoever you work with. I hope that my practice provides that for you.

Hi, I’m Dallas, a counseling graduate intern at Resilience Counseling & Play Therapy. I work with children, teens, young adults, and college students who may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, stuck, or uncertain about life’s next steps. College can bring a lot of pressure balancing academics, relationships, work, family expectations, and mental health all at once. My goal is to provide a supportive, judgment-free space where you can feel heard, understood, and comfortable being yourself. I enjoy helping students navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, life transitions, relationship concerns, stress management, and emotional struggles that can interfere with daily life and success in school. I also have experience supporting children, adolescents, and families through behavioral concerns, emotional regulation difficulties, trauma, and family stressors. My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative. I believe therapy should feel like a safe place to talk openly, build healthy coping skills, gain confidence, and work toward meaningful change at your own pace. Whether you are struggling with something specific or simply feeling emotionally exhausted, you do not have to figure it out alone.
Reaching out for help can be overwhelming and scary. How do you know which counselor to talk to? How do you know if it’s a good fit? What do all the letters mean after everyone’s names? What are my friends and family going to think if they hear I’m in counseling? There is so much confusion and stigma around mental health, and I would love to help you make sense of the process. I have extensive experience working with individuals in crisis, helping them find reasons to stay alive and ways to cope with what can feel like all-consuming depression and sorrow. I also have experience working with individuals who are experiencing difficulties with overuse of alcohol and drugs and can help plot a course toward harm-reduction and a more rewarding life. I love working with teenagers and college age students. It’s during this time that people often are struggling to find their identity, who they love, and what they want out of their lives. It’s also during this time that difficult symptoms tend to start making an appearance. Learning how to cope now can lessen the effects later in life and lead to much healthier and holistic outcomes. I offer free 15 minute phone consultations to see if I am the best fit for your needs. Let’s get connected today and start working towards a future you are excited about.
