Therapists for college students near Ann Arbor, MI
I currently reside in Northeast Michigan along the beautiful Lake Huron and have a license to practice in Michigan. I am passionate about supporting individuals on their journey toward self-understanding and an overall well-being. As a clinician, I believe in creating a safe, compassionate space where you feel heard and understood. I prioritize an affirming and strengths-based approach to ensure that every individual feels seen, valued, and empowered. I believe that each client possesses unique strengths and abilities that can be harnessed to navigate challenges and achieve personal goals. I actively listen to their experiences and validate their feelings, creating a safe space where they can express themselves authentically.
Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you are trying to balance school, work, relationships, family expectations, or figuring out what is next. You don't have to have everything figured out before starting therapy. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can show up as you are and talk openly about what's on your mind. Together, we'll work on understanding what you are going through, managing stress, anxiety, and difficult emotions, and building practical skills to help you feel more confident and grounded. I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, self-esteem, identity, and major life changes like college, starting a career, or simply learning how to navigate adulthood. Whether you are considering therapy for the first time or coming back after a break, my goal is to make the experience feel welcoming, collaborative, and helpful. I currently offer virtual therapy sessions for Michigan residents.
I use an integrative approach where I am able to meet you where you are at with compassion, curiosity, and encouragement to evaluate and tailor evidence-based treatments to fit your needs. My desire is to partner with you in exploring your story and help you experience healing. I have enjoyed working with people from a variety of life stages from adolescence through late adulthood. I love working with those who are experiencing grief and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties, planning for the future, and those who might just feel "stuck". In 2025, I received training in cognitive-behavioral therapy for insomnia (CBT-I) from the Stanford Sleep Health and Insomnia Program. I consider it a privilege to sit with you as you share your life with me. My hope is that I can create a safe place for you to explore your depths and deepest parts while feeling supported and accepted. I would love to come alongside of you in the midst of your journey and witness your growth.
Hello, I’m glad you’re here. Taking the first step toward therapy can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone. I work with children, adolescents, adults, and couples who are experiencing anxiety, stress, negative self-talk, or overwhelming emotions. My clients often want practical strategies to manage difficult feelings, strengthen coping skills, improve communication, and build healthier relationships. I also support couples in fostering connection and facilitate small anxiety support groups where people can feel understood and supported. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting your journey toward healing and personal growth. When you’re ready, please call or email to schedule an appointment. If I’m unavailable and you reach voicemail, kindly leave a message, and I will return your call as soon as possible. Insurance & Payment Options: BlueCross BlueShield (BCBS) & Private Pay
I work with adolescents and adults whose lives have been impacted by trauma, grief and loss, or chronic stress and who may feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from themselves or others. They may struggle with anxiety, trauma responses, depression, relationship patterns, ADHD, chronic pain, or feeling unsafe in their bodies or the world. They want a supportive space to process experiences at their own pace, build coping skills, and move toward greater safety, presence, and self-trust.
A lot of college students feel like they should have everything figured out by now. The truth is, most people don’t. College can bring a lot of pressure, academically, socially, and personally. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, lonely, or navigating relationship challenges, or questioning your direction about what comes next. Many students I work with come to therapy because something in their life doesn’t feel quite right. Sometimes that means exploring stress happening right now, and other times it means getting curious about past experiences or childhood dynamics that may still be shaping patterns in relationships, self-confidence, or the way you handle difficult emotions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in helping you better understand yourself while also building practical tools to manage stress and feel steadier. Therapy with me doesn’t have to feel stiff or overly clinical; humor, swearing, and showing up as your real self are all welcome here. My office is located by a GVSU Laker Line bus stop and is about a 10-minute walk. You don’t have to sort everything out on your own. Reach out if you're ready to start getting the support you need!

I enjoy being a comforting confidant to others who are struggling. My goal as a therapist is to invite you into a safe environment and to be a conduit of empowerment, education, and healing. The therapeutic process is an invitation to heal, grow, and confidently move forward in achieving your goals and dreams. I use a diverse approach in sessions composed of the following theories: Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and inner healing prayer. I obtained a BA in Psychology from the University of Nevada Reno and an MA in Counseling from Cornerstone University. My favorite internship experience was at the campus center working with college students just like you! I have 6.5 years of experience working in an inpatient setting as a group therapist, crisis counselor, and discharge planner in the California Bay Area. I worked with many people who had layers of trauma, severe mental illness, and homelessness. This experience taught me the true value of nonjudgmental listening and the significance of supportive advocacy. In addition, I have 6 years of experience working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) providing Applied Behavioral Analysis and support to children with Autism. I am excited to relocate to Michigan to be close to family once again and to have the opportunity to counsel at Hope and Wholeness Psychology Center. In my free time, I enjoy time with family and friends, hiking, crafting, cooking, and tea parties.
