Are you anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or emotionally exhausted by the state of the world? Let's make it feel easier together. With over 10+ years experience, I specialize in supporting adults with ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Panic, and Sex-related concerns through collaborative, compassionate, and results-driven therapy and coaching. I focus on restoring a sense of safety, clarity, and agency in an increasingly overwhelming world using evidence-based practices and customizing sessions to tailor to your specific needs. Let's work together to curate the change you want for yourself and your future, one simple step at a time. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, chronically stressed, or stuck in cycles of overthinking, masking, or emotional exhaustion. I work collaboratively with my clients to set goals, process emotions, and untangle the grief of living through the world as it currently is. As a Pakistani-American daughter of immigrants, I bring both professional expertise and lived experience to my work. I understand how cultural expectations, intergenerational dynamics, and systemic stress can affect us. If you are ready to stop simply surviving and start feeling steady and hopeful, let's start building a better reality for you, together.
I believe that each person has the wisdom and knowledge within them to be able to heal and grow themselves but that intuition can be difficult to access due to our upbringings, beliefs, structural expectations, etc. I am honored to join with clients on their growth journey and provide perspective and safety along the way. I welcome clients from all walks of life and work primarily with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self exploration, and navigating the many transitions of life. I take an eclectic approach that utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and Psychedelic Integration and also value the wisdom and significance of spirituality, mindfulness, somatics, ancestral connection, connection with nature and other non western conceptualizations of growth and healing. I foster a inclusive, nonjudgmental and affirming approach that does not shy away from difficult emotions. This is a collaborative relationship where we work together and rely on your inner wisdom to pursue growth at a pace that is healthy for you. If this resonates with you, I look forward to connecting with you and exploring the work we can do together.

My name is Amy Read and I am an Adult & Geriatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. I have specialized my interests in health & wellness after years of struggling with my own symptoms ... symptoms of pain, brain fog, IBS, difficulty with focus, inability to concentration, a very forgetful memory, and so many more. Like so many other suffering I feared the worse, I believed I must have early onset dementia or even cancer. Luckily, I was cleared of anything life threating, but I was told nothing could be done to make me feel better. I realized that I had to find a way to change the outcome, because I was not going to let my life slip by. Because of my personal challenges, I found functional medicine. I found a way to "cure" myself and reclaim my life. It was hard. It took a lot of time. It took work. It took family support. Now I am able to live again and I have many roles and titles, the best of which is being a mother to 6 beautiful children. I love the sun and the beach, if I have a day off that's where you'll find me! The water is mesmerizing and the sun enlightens my soul! I am now a functional medicine practitioner nurse practitioner and bring over 25 years of experience into my practice. Functional medicine has saved my life and become my passion for helping others. My own triumphs and trials with depression, anxiety, ADHD, food sensitivities and fibromyalgia allow me to have a deep understanding of what my clients are going through and what they need to have in order to achieve the life of their dreams. Through my programs, clients who are committed and ready for change, are able to obtain optimal health and wellness.

Life is a story, and sometimes, we find ourselves caught up in chapters that feel challenging, overwhelming, or just downright confusing. But what if I told you that you have the power to rewrite your narrative? As a firm believer in the transformative power of therapy, I've discovered a gem that has become a compass for many of my therapy journeys—Narrative Therapy. Separating Person from Problem: Imagine detangling yourself from the web of problems that seem to define you. Narrative Therapy invites you to step back, helping you realize that you are not the problem; the problem is just a chapter in your vast and intricate story. 2. Re-authoring Your Narrative: Ever wished you could be the author of your own story? With Narrative Therapy, you can be! Together, we roll up our sleeves and rewrite the script. We discard the old, tired narratives and create new, empowering tales that resonate with the person you're becoming. 3. Making Meaning, Shifting Perspectives: The beauty of Narrative Therapy lies in its ability to help you make meaning of your experiences. By changing the language around the presenting problem, we open doors to new perspectives. Suddenly, the story isn't about defeat but about resilience, growth, and newfound strength. Your Story, Your Power In the world of Narrative Therapy, your story isn't a burden; it's your greatest asset. We strip away the labels and limitations, giving you the pen to script a narrative that aligns with your authentic self. Ready to Redefine Your Narrative? If you're craving a change in your life's storyline, let's embark on this transformative journey together.
