Anxiety, depression, relationship stress. We all face challenges, and we do the best we can with what we know, and what we have, in the moment.
My therapeutic approach is informed by my background in meditation, Eastern contemplative philosophy, and evolutionary psychology. I work with clients to establish a treatment plan that is uniquely sensitive to their particular clinical needs and concerns. Some of the most common techniques I employ focus on the important relationship between body and mind; these experiential, somatic, and cognitive interventions allow for critical shifts in perspective that promote meaningful and enduring behavioral change.

Hello! I’m Amber. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and my training is strengths-based, trauma informed, and recovery-perspective grounded. I have practiced extensively with individuals and families working to make treatment a collaborative process. I specialize in the field of eating disorders treating adolescents and adults, individuals and families. I have worked in all levels of care for over a decade, allowing me to treat an array of symptoms and co-occurring conditions. In addition to treating eating disorders, I am also passionate about working with those experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, pre/post-natal, life transitions, self-esteem, self-growth and goal setting. My passion being a therapist is informed by the many transitions in my life. I bring much of who I am into my work and like to establish a genuine, deep, and unconditional relationship with my clients. I believe in the power of deep connection to transform and shape our lives. My approach embodies authenticity, humor, empathy, and honesty. I am your biggest fan and I am also the person who will empower you to grow into yourself. I employ an eclectic approach to therapy, including: Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT & CBT-E) Family Based Treatment (FBT)
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and stress reduction, but also help people with: anger, depression, phobias, OCD, addiction, PTSD, relationship difficulties, spiritual/existential crises, panic attacks, ADHD, chronic medical conditions (gastric, migraines, tinnitus, POTS, etc.), and many other problems. Very often, symptoms and issues overlap and are correlated. When you work with me, we will collaborate to focus on the challenging areas of your life, manage stresses from your environment and body, and develop strategies to overcome unhelpful patterns of thought and behavior. Through this work it will be possible to experience relief, become happier, and evolve as a person. While I prefer to see clients in my office, I also provide online therapy on a HIPAA compliant video platform. When we first meet, we'll discuss your history and your concerns.
