Hey there! Happy to see you in my little corner of ThrivingCampus. I currently have over 8 years experience working with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship based complications/attachment wounds, stress management, addiction/substance abuse, self esteem complications, trauma focused care for PTSD, ADHD, and much more. I'm a big proponent of meeting you where you're at on your healing journey, as well as empowering you to create a healthier version of yourself. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, nonjudgmental, and generally enjoyable environment for you to flourish within. We're two people with the same goal: helping you. A little more about myself: I really enjoy music, playing video games with my wife, attending renaissance faires, playing D&D (when schedules allow for it), and am a proud cat dad. Looking forward to working with you!

On the outside, things might look like they’re working—but inside, it feels overwhelming, exhausting, or just… off. I work with thoughtful, driven people who are ready to untangle what’s going on and move toward something that feels better. My approach blends CBT, mindfulness, and relational work in a way that’s collaborative, down-to-earth, and actually useful in your day-to-day life. In sessions, you’ll find a warm, nonjudgmental space to explore what’s coming up and build practical tools for change. Our first session focuses on understanding your goals and creating a path forward that feels supportive and manageable.

Odira Ughanze, LPC
Hi there—I’m Odira, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience guiding students and young adults through life’s twists and turns. I understand how hard it can be to fit therapy into a busy schedule, so I offer sessions only in the evenings and on weekends, whether we meet in person in Abilene, TX, or connect virtually across Texas and Colorado. Many students wrestle with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and relationship ups and downs. That’s why I blend person-centered, holistic, and eclectic approaches to create a space that’s uniquely yours. You know your story best—I’m here to listen, offer fresh perspectives, and partner with you to build practical tools for navigating transitions, strengthening connections, and fostering growth. Over the years, I’ve led behavioral health teams and delivered therapy in community and clinical settings—experience that’s deepened my understanding of the pressures you face on campus and beyond. My passion is creating a warm, collaborative environment where you can explore your strengths, cultivate resilience, and gain clarity. Ready to get started during those after-work or weekend hours? I have clinical experience at a large university counseling center in New York, and my time there made me realize how much I like working with college students of all kinds. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing adjustment issues, relationship distress, stress-related problems, trauma effects, depression and mood dysregulation, and life transitions. Little Dove Psychology
College is a lot. If you are juggling classes, a social life, and a brain that will not cooperate, you do not need a six-month waitlist on top of it. Little Dove Psychology is a fully virtual practice for college students, based in Austin, Texas. Two things we do differently: if you have always wondered whether you have ADHD, we complete comprehensive virtual ADHD evaluations in under a month, with a written report you can use at school. And our individual therapy sessions fit an actual student schedule, with evening and weekend appointments, all from your dorm, apartment, or parked car between classes. We use approaches with real evidence behind them (CBT, ACT, DBT skills) for the things students actually deal with: anxiety, perfectionism, procrastination that is really something deeper, homesickness, relationships, and figuring out who you are. No judgment, no lectures, just practical help from someone who gets it. Your therapy does not have to end when the semester does. Through PSYPACT, we can see you across Texas and the other PSYPACT states, so if you head home for winter break, spend the summer out of state, or study away from campus, your sessions continue without starting over with someone new. We are in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and Optum (UnitedHealthcare), and we provide superbills for other plans. Every student starts with a free 15-minute consultation, and most start the same week they reach out.
