College is a lot. If you are juggling classes, a social life, and a brain that will not cooperate, you do not need a six-month waitlist on top of it. Little Dove Psychology is a fully virtual practice for college students, based in Austin, Texas. Two things we do differently: if you have always wondered whether you have ADHD, we complete comprehensive virtual ADHD evaluations in under a month, with a written report you can use at school. And our individual therapy sessions fit an actual student schedule, with evening and weekend appointments, all from your dorm, apartment, or parked car between classes. We use approaches with real evidence behind them (CBT, ACT, DBT skills) for the things students actually deal with: anxiety, perfectionism, procrastination that is really something deeper, homesickness, relationships, and figuring out who you are. No judgment, no lectures, just practical help from someone who gets it. Your therapy does not have to end when the semester does. Through PSYPACT, we can see you across Texas and the other PSYPACT states, so if you head home for winter break, spend the summer out of state, or study away from campus, your sessions continue without starting over with someone new. Little Dove Psychology is in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, and Optum (UnitedHealthcare); the plans each clinician accepts are listed below, and we provide superbills for other plans. Every student starts with a free 15-minute consultation, and most start the same week they reach out.
Angelica Rivera
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in both education and medical social work. I received my Bachelors of Science in Biology with a minor in Psychology at Texas A&M College Station and my Masters of Social Work at University of Texas Rio Grande Valley with a concentration in Direct Practice with Latino Ind/Fam/Gr. Before becoming a therapist, I spent years teaching, which strengthened my ability to connect with individuals across different developmental stages and meet people where they are. I also have years of experience as a medical social worker in the NICU and Cardiac ICU at a Childrens Hospital, supporting patients and families through some of life’s most challenging moments. My clinical experience includes working with grief and loss, postpartum adjustment, chronic illness, family stress, and major life transitions including adjustments to college.

I'm a licensed therapist who works with first-generation college students, children of immigrants, and culturally diverse young adults navigating the ups and downs of college life and early adulthood. As an immigrant myself, I truly get it—the push and pull between cultures, carrying your family's dreams on your shoulders, feeling proud of your background while also wanting to find your own way, and all the complicated feelings that come with it. Whether you're dealing with family expectations, figuring out your identity, managing academic stress, or just trying to adjust to everything that college throws at you, I bring both personal understanding and professional experience to our conversations. This is a warm, judgment-free space where you can talk about what's really going on, recognize the strengths you already have, and learn practical ways to handle whatever challenges come up.

Welcome! Starting therapy is a big step. I understand how overwhelming it can be to experience anxiety, stress, or intrusive thoughts. It takes courage to seek help, and I am so glad you are here! Therapy is most effective when it is tailored to you and uses research-backed treatment. I use evidence-based methods, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). These therapies are supported to alleviate symptoms and empower you to reclaim your life—returning to activities that anxiety may have previously taken you away from.
