Many of the clients I work best with are people who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of the next step in life. They may be dealing with stress, anxiety, relationship struggles, faith questions, or changes that feel difficult to manage on their own. Often, they’re looking for a safe place where they can talk openly, sort through their thoughts, and begin to rebuild confidence and peace. If this sounds familiar, you’re not alone—and you’re in the right place. My practice is built on creating a calm, supportive space where you can feel understood, respected, and encouraged. Together, we’ll explore what you’re facing, uncover what you need, and work toward real, practical change at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

I am a clinical social worker who provides individual therapy for adults. As a therapist my role is to provide a non-judgmental, safe environment for individuals to explore their life issues and support them in their personal growth. I find that a lot of us struggle with listening to our inner critic and often beat ourselves up for past regrets, as well as spending a lot of valuable time worrying about the past and the "what if's" in the future. I hope we can work together to quiet this critic and find a way to enjoy the present. My experience includes working with individuals in therapy addressing relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and assertiveness skills. I also work with individuals dealing with adjustments to major life changes, including adjusting to college. I also have experience working with individuals who identify as LGBTQ. I primarily utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in practice, but may also utilize other treatment approaches as appropriate for each individual. I encourage self-care and self-nurturing activities to support therapy. Contact me today to get started on this journey together. I can also provide ESA letters if appropriate for housing needs.

Living with OCD or anxiety can be exhausting. The constant doubt, intrusive thoughts, avoidance and compulsions can make everyday life feel overwhelming— like it's running your life instead of you. I specialize in helping adults break free from OCD, perfectionism, and anxiety disorders. I understand how isolating these struggles can feel, and I provide a compassionate, collaborative space where you can feel understood while learning practical tools to understand anxiety and move toward what truly matters to you. If you're struggling with OCD, we’ll use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD. Together we'll build a concrete treatment plan, and with steady support, you’ll gradually face fears, and reduce compulsions, building confidence and learning that you can handle uncertainty without relying on rituals. To address anxiety and perfectionism, I integrate CBT and ACT techniques, so you can develop a healthier mindset and respond to difficult thoughts with more flexibility and self-compassion. Therapy is active and goal-oriented, but always grounded in warmth and respect. I’d love to support you in this process.

Healing begins with understanding - and you don’t have to do it on your own. My approach to therapy is rooted in helping you gently explore who you are and how you move through the world. Together, we’ll work to loosen the grip of fear and shame so you can reclaim your story with compassion and confidence. In our work, I’ll support you in recognizing patterns that no longer serve you and help you in shifting them to create space for growth and healing. We will work to strengthen self-trust, improve emotional regulation, and develop a clearer sense of identity. College students come to me to understand their underlying beliefs and emotional experiences that contribute to academic stress, anxiety about life after college, people-pleasing, perfectionism, general anxiety, and depression. I enjoy helping young adults navigate difficult family dynamics, set boundaries with themselves and others, and improve self-esteem. Wherever you are on your journey, I am dedicated to supporting you as you work toward healing.

Navigating the transition to college and early adulthood can be exciting, but it can also be incredibly stressful and overwhelming. Are you struggling to manage the pressures of academics, relationships, or being away from home? Do you find yourself constantly worrying, feeling down, or having difficulty sleeping? Are you experiencing conflict with parents, peers, or even professors? Are you questioning whether college is the right path for you, or if you're pursuing it due to external pressure? Hi there! My name is Kennedy Inman, APC, and I work for Creative Center for Wellness in Athens, GA. I work with a lot of different people on a lot of different things. My favorite kind of people are complex and messy! I use various pop culture metaphors and humor in my sessions, and believe that we don't have to be defined by what has happened to us, but what we choose to become moving forward. I use therapy modalities like Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), which uses eye movements and narration to enable cognitive reprocessing. I also utilize psychoeducation to help teach and develop coping skills, emotional regulation skills, communication skills, etc. My goal as a counselor is to help you live the life you want to live safely, healthily, and in your own voice.
