We help people who look happy on the outside actually feel that way on the inside. It's exhausting trying to keep it all together. Most of us expend a huge amount of effort to make it look like our life is perfect; especially on social media. Some of us even relate to the dreaded Imposter Syndrome. While our accomplishments may be lengthy, our relationships and fulfillment are lacking. We understand, and our approach reflects just that. Creating a connection is core to our approach to counseling. We work from a multitude of theoretical frameworks including person-centered, positive psychology, cognitive behavioral, family systems, and solution focused. Much of our experience has been helping people find balance in their lives and re-focus their energies on values important to them.
I am the founder and managing partner of Atlanta Center for Wellness (AC4W), LLC. AC4W is a multidisciplinary, holistic and integrative mental health practice specializing in individual, group, couples and family therapy across the lifespan. We are a group of 30 experienced and skilled clinicians who utilize evidence-based practices, integrative therapies and cutting-edge modalities to achieve client-centered results. I am the past clinical director of an eating disorder and trauma treatment program and have worked with clients at every level of care.

Therapy is a journey into yourself. It is choosing to step forward into growth rather than shy back into what is safe and comfortable. When we talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary. This process of self-discovery isn’t easy, but certainly worth it! My approach to counseling is that of being direct, honest, and straightforward. I work hard to balance that with care, compassion, and empathy. I will push you, but not past your limits. At times it may feel as if I am pushing you past your limits but that is because often times we aren’t able to see our true potential.
Interesting fact: Many people come to therapy not because something is “wrong,” but because they want support, clarity, or a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships. Therapy can be a space to slow down, take a breath, and talk things through without judgment. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy — but above all, I focus on creating a space where you feel safe, supported, and truly yourself.

Dr. Apraku is welcoming new patients for video appointments. As a Board-certified M.D. psychiatrist, she specializes in providing psychiatric diagnostic assessments and treatment recommendations for anxiety, depression, OCD and bipolar disorder. Dr. Apraku also gives guidance for mental health concerns related to life transitions, mood swings, anger and traumatic events. As a holistic provider, her focus is on medication management (including for patients wishing to decrease reliance on medication) in combination with extensive psycho-education and referral to a trusted therapist where appropriate. Effective psychiatry requires a relationship between patient and provider founded on trust and mutual understanding. Dr. Apraku's goal is to build such long-lasting relationships to get your mental health as good as it can be. Natalie Casey is an Eastern Michigan University and Boston University graduate. She is professionally licensed in Michigan and Georgia and sees all of her clients virtually.
