Being a student can be tough! Balancing classes, friends, and work while adjusting to a new living situation. Maybe even feeling less confident when we never struggled in that area before. Sometimes we don't recognize that we are struggling with anxiety or depression...and that there is help! If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-confidence, difficulties with managing emotions, I can help! You don't need to know how therapy works. We will talk and get to know each other, then sort out together the areas where you can grow strengths to match your new experience.

Hello, I'm Michael! I'm a therapist who also provides psychological testing. I do what I can to support my clients and specialize in working with those who are neurodivergent. Lisa Olivera inspired me when she stated, “Just because no one else can heal or do your inner work, does not mean you can, should, or need to do it alone.” We all heal in different ways, and I value the importance of meeting a client where they are at in their healing journey, remaining patient every step of the way. I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to heal in a safe space, alongside someone who can guide and teach them along the way. As a therapist I am dedicated to creating a safe space for all of my clients, working collaboratively with each individual as they work towards their current goals while ensuring a consistent, non-judgmental environment is maintained. I am a LLMSW with prior work experience in private practice and family preservation. I utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and interventions, including but not limited to, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Motivational Interviewing. I am committed to ensuring my clients feel that their voices have been heard, while guiding them towards recognizing their full potentials.

College is the ultimate life experience, but it can also cause a lot of anxiety, doubt, confusion, and feelings of inadequacy. It also brings along questions of “am I good enough,” “did I choose the right path,” and “how am I going to get through this”? Guess what? These are all normal feelings and thoughts that every college student experiences to some degree or another, and I am here to help you navigate them! However, what happens if tragedy strikes, or you find yourself struggling with disabling anxiety, or chronic pain and/or illness? That was the predicament I found myself in during Graduate School. I received a Traumatic Brain Injury along with a Spinal Injury halfway through my MSW. I thought it was all over for me, I thought I was going to fail out of school, and was told I could never work in the field of social work. Well, I’m here to tell you they were WRONG! I made it through all the trials and tribulations, graduated with Honors, and I am here to help you navigate your struggles and help you continue to pursue your dreams! If you are struggling with daily college life, are experiencing debilitating mental health issues, or are trying to power through chronic pain and/or illness to acquire your college degree and make your dreams come true I am here to help you on your journey!
Hey, I’m so glad you’re here! Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, especially when you’re driven and expected to hold it all together. I work with holistic-minded adults, including entrepreneurs, professionals, athletes, neurodivergent individuals, transgendered individuals, and those with chronic illness or invisible disabilities, exploring identity, creativity, or burnout. I’m very laid back; come as you are. Curse, wear pajamas, lay in bed, be human. This is a space where you don’t have to perform, just show up. Only rule: please don’t drive during sessions or do anything that could harm yourself or others.
