Therapists for college students near Ann Arbor, MI
Hello! My name is Max, I'm a clinical social worker. I am currently providing short-term crisis support to students impacted by the recent events on MSU's campus. These sessions will be free of charge. For those who need longer term support, I'm taking some new clients at my practice. I do accept insurance as well as offer sliding scale fees for out of pocket payment. I am a queer, transgender man and I focus on working with members of the LGBTQ* population to navigate trauma, anxiety, and depression. However, I do work with folks across the gender and sexuality spectrum. Please don't hesitate to reach out.

Hello, My name is Dalyn Pacheco-Smith. I received my degrees from University of Hawai’i at Mānoa and University of San Francisco. At the University of San Francisco, I earned my Master's in Counseling Psychology with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Marriage and Family Therapy. Working with and supporting the well-being of college students, both undergraduate and graduate, is a passion that I have worked toward and I am grateful for the opportunity to do so. In college, there are so many experiences, feelings, emotions, events, and stressors that occur. I strive to create a comfortable, attentive, and empathetic space for you to process these things. I use a holistic and client-centered approach. My focus is on establishing rapport, creating goals and visions you have for yourself, as well as building insight and helping you manage stressors. My purpose is to assist you in facilitating your own change and highlight your strengths to promote growth, well-being, and healing.
Life can feel overwhelming, especially when you're coping with anxiety, trauma, loss, or major transitions. You might be carrying pain from the past, struggling with self-blame, or feeling stuck in unhelpful patterns. Whatever you're facing, you don’t have to navigate it alone. I help adults and young adults work through issues like grief, trauma, relationship challenges, and low self-worth. Many of my clients feel burdened by guilt or “what if” thoughts that make it hard to move forward. My approach is warm, collaborative, and rooted in evidence-based practices like EMDR, CBT, and mindfulness.
My philosophy is that curiosity is what life is about. I am constantly curious about life and about my clients. I strive to learn as much as I can so I can work together with clients to help them better their lives and reach their goals. I try to pull from many therapeutic models, using what works best for the client. I truly believe that with open eyes and a kind heart, I can meet the client where they are and help bring them to where they want to be. I truly believe that I didn’t choose this path; it chose me. I knew I wanted to go into the mental health field since I was a senior in high school, but I just didn’t know to what capacity. I was always very curious about the inner workings of relationships. I love that I am welcomed into people’s lives and given the opportunity to see them at both their most vulnerable and most resilient. Being a part of someone’s growth is one of the most amazing parts of my job.
I work with children, adolescents, and young adults. I am an MSU grad myself, and currently have both present and former clients who are students at State. I am offering short-term crises-type services at no charge to students affected by the recent tragic events on campus. Since I also have a busy practice in Novi, which is about an hour away from MSU, I would need to hold our sessions virtually. I have about 30 years experience as a therapist, and I would like to be of help during this very difficult time.

Welcome! I'm Dr. Jasmine Easley, a trauma based therapist helping teens and women to heal trauma through mindful presence. Have you experienced trauma in the past and never got a chance to really talk about it? Do you feel like your mind is occupied with so many thoughts at once? Or maybe you've lost interest in things, and feel your body battling with unwavering emotions that you don't know how to control. Healing is a journey, but if you're ready to take a step back into those past experiences, then you're in the right space. This is your time to confront those thoughts and emotions, and learn healthy skills to address them. If you reside in Georgia or Michigan, I'm here to help you heal through traumatic experiences by fostering a state of mindfulness. I work from a holistic approach, which means along with talk therapy to address past trauma, I will also teach you skills to manage and reduce anxiety, depression, and stress. We will also focus on habits around sleep, nutrition, physical health, and self-care. I look forward to working with you!
My heart for hurting people was birthed out of my own journey of experiencing healing from trauma, abuse and loss. I am convinced that all of us are created with a potential for incredible resilience and with the right kind of compassionate support, we can bounce back from the worst of circumstances. I grew up in India and after moving to the US in 2001, received a M.A. in Professional Counseling from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary. Over the last 2 decades, I have enjoyed working with children and adults in various settings such as schools, women's shelters, colleges, churches and private practice. In my spare time I enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, kayaking, camping, cooking and enjoying conversations over a good meal with friends and family.

I’ve always known I was meant to help others, and becoming a therapist has allowed me to do just that. I’m passionate about helping people heal, grow, and feel like the best versions of themselves. I work at Restore Therapy Collective in Grand Rapids offering both in person and telehealth sessions. I work with kids, teens, and adults on ADHD, anxiety, autism, life transitions, school issues, relationships, and trauma. I am also dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence. With a background as a school social worker and education in play therapy, motivational interviewing, CBT, and EMDR, I take a person-centered approach to help clients build resilience and find what works for them. Outside of here, I enjoy traveling, photography, trying new restaurants, reading, and spending time with my two cats, family, and friends. I’m grateful to support my Michigan community and would be honored to help you on your journey!
I have many years of experience working with teenagers. I specifically enjoy working with teens who experience anxiety. As a previous college student, I look forward to providing you with support and tools to get through these difficult times in life!

My goal is to create a calm, safe space for you to share and process your story and explore solutions. I aim to make your experience with therapy a positive one by assuring you feel heard, encouraged and seen. I believe the client/therapist relationship is a powerful healing tool to success in your life. I am a Psychotherapist who earned my graduate degree from The University of Michigan School of Social Work. I enjoy working with children, teens and young adults. I use an attachment theory framework to help you process traumas and relationships. Additionally, my areas of clinical interest are adolescents, teens and young adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, relationship issues, attachment issues, life adjustments, grief and loss, trauma/PTSD, and women's issues. I believe everyone deserves a connection with their therapist because healing comes through trust and a secure relationship, in which I strive to build between us. I hope to hear from you soon.
There isn’t a one size “fix” all package for mental health. What works for one; may not work for another. I will be the first one to tell you that I am not the expert in your pain, your life, or your journey. You are. I am simply here to walk alongside you and be a resource for your growth. I believe one of the hardest and bravest things you can do for yourself, is to not only understand your story, but to continue growing from it. As a therapist, it is my goal to help others help themselves and is a motto I have lived by for years now and hope to incorporate this daily with my clients. It is not my role nor my desire to tell you how to live your life; rather, how you can get through some of those hard times, a little less scathed. From my personal experience, working with a therapist that practices empathy, listening, and building trust has helped me through some very dark times. It is my hope to practice these with every person I come into contact with. However small a role I can play in your growth and journey would be an honor. - www.speakeasygr.com (Speak;Easy Mental Wellness)
