Suffering is a part of being human—whether it's grief, trauma, stress, or the quiet ache of loneliness. While we can’t always avoid pain, we can choose not to face it alone. I believe in creating a safe, affirming space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as we work through life’s challenges together. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Boston College, where I completed the Child & Family Mental Health and Wellness Concentration. As someone who was raised in a different culture and now practices in the U.S. as an international therapist, I bring a culturally sensitive lens to therapy that values and integrates diverse worldviews. I’ve worked with individuals across the lifespan—from age 5 to 80—and my areas of focus include ADHD, mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, PTSD, and addiction. I’m here to walk beside you—at your pace, on your terms.
The transitions and stress involved in college or graduate school can be overwhelming, and I am here to help. As a clinician, I am skillful in supporting clients for whom anxiety, chronic stress, depression, and developmental disabilities are primary areas of concern. I enjoy treating clients who have physical or medical complaints using psychotherapeutic modalities, including mindfulness, acceptance, and health behavior change. I also welcome clients who wish to address disordered eating, body image, or diet-related concerns in therapy. I am very passionate about the mind-body connection and strive to help my clients achieve balance between physical, mental, and emotional wellness to promote optimal healing. I believe in tailoring treatment to each client’s unique needs, including their lived experiences, preferences, strengths, and cultural background to make the therapeutic experience both personal and meaningful. I practice with a warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach to help clients feel safe and begin healing. If you think we may be a good fit, I'd love to hear from you. I offer free, 10-minute consultation calls and am accepting new clients via Telehealth and in-person.

My approach is collaborative, empathic, and interactive, creating an environment in which to help you better understand, relate to, and positively address ways in which you might feel stuck. I have specialized training in treating complex trauma. Though I draw from humanistic, psychodynamic, and DBT modalities, in essence my approach is integrative, person-centered, and strength-based. My training experiences include Harvard-affiliated McLean Hospital and the Trauma Center at Justice Resource Institute. I completed a post doctoral fellowship at the Brookline Center for Community Mental Health. Please feel free to email or call me with questions. I look forward to connecting with you. I am an out of network therapist, I am happy to help you or parent submit to your insurance for partial reimbursement.
Guiding You to Understand the Foundation of Your Life Like physical health and fitness, each human being is living at a level of mental health and fitness. The level of mental health a person is able to live in regardless demographics including age is unlimited. The greater the level of mental health cultivated inside, the more natural it is to experience resilience, presence, connection, clarity, love, peace, respect, trust, inside regardless the live event. Nature designed our operating system inside: "We are built to heal, love, respect, connect, resolve, be prosperous in right ways, optimal ways...when we cultivate next levels of mental health...self-awareness...psychological fitness inside." Cultivating greater levels of mental health inside becomes choosing, understanding, responding from, for example, innate wisdom in live time, an ultimate, yet essential psychological capability inside. It has often been dismissed, ignored or dormant due to a lower level of psychological awareness inside: that it exists inside, what it is, how to access it and why to access it. It is also upgrading essential awareness inside with navigating: relationships, biological health challenges, sudden unexpected and expected life transitions such as death of a loved one, divorce or marriage, moods, finances and career challenges. Finally, it is healing the source of trauma inside and upgrading awareness with work performance, academic performance, mistakes and set-backs. I also have a great deal of knowledge about the Mind-Body connection pertaining to mental health based on leading-edge facts. Currently, mental health services are provided through Telehealth. When participating in Telehealth services, please have a physical space which allows for privacy consistently throughout an appointment. Please visit mindthoughtconsciousness.com. Read pages, watch videos and listen to your gut to discern whether this counseling approach is the right approach for your mental health counseling. Wishing you the best with completing next steps to cultivate and experience greater levels of mental health inside.
College can feel like a mix of excitement and pressure all at once. Between academics, relationships, figuring out who you are, and trying to keep up with everything, it’s really easy to feel overwhelmed, anxious, or like you’re just barely holding it together. In therapy, I try to create a space where you don’t have to have it all figured out. We slow things down, make sense of what’s going on, and work together to find ways to feel more grounded and more like yourself again. I really believe people already have strengths in them, even if it doesn’t feel accessible in the moment. My job is to help you reconnect with those strengths and figure out how to use them in real life, especially during stressful or confusing seasons. I work with college students and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationship stress, trauma, and big life transitions. I use approaches like CBT, mindfulness, and body-based (somatic) work to help you understand what you’re feeling and actually shift it in a practical, supportive way. My fee for a 50-minute session is $180. I also offer a limited number of sliding scale spots ($90–$100) to help make therapy more accessible.

Looking forward to helping you achieve mental health by maximizing your strengths. I take a holistic approach to care that incorporates therapy with thoughtful medication management. Accepting New clients for tele-health sessions only Born and raised in Boston the owner has intimate knowledge of the city and the challenges people living in the city can face. Beyond that the owner recognized the benefit of working with a therapist that looks and has shared experiences with the client. Boston offers a unique population of families, working professionals, immigrants, and college students from both in and out of state. Each therapist on this team fits in one or more of those categories ensuring their ability to understand where you are coming from and where you want to go. It is out of that philosophy that Through The Forest Counseling was created. We know that for clients to get the most out of each session, they should first feel comfortable not just with the therapist, but also with the surroundings. This plays a significant role in their overall improvement. Let us guide you to your destination of a healthier, happier life.
Our team values a therapeutic style that is warm, yet interactive and direct. We believe in providing clients with a comfortable and safe climate to enhance personal insight, explore problematic patterns, learn practical skills, and make meaningful change. As a collaborative process, we highly value open discussion in therapy about what feels to be working well, and what feels to be less effective. While we work with clients on many different issues, our clinicians have particular expertise in trauma, eating disorders, self-injury/destructive urges, stress management, pain/illness, problematic coping behaviors, and often co-occurring mood (i.e., Depression) and Anxiety Disorders. Therapy is never one size fits all. We strive to create deep and meaningful connections that meet you where you are, and support you in getting to where you want to be.
